"Unwed Mother" gotta love the AP, if she were a liberals kid they would be treating her like a martyr.

Bristol Palin promotes teen pregnancy prevention

And Paris Hilton will promote chastity.

“...if she were a liberals kid they would be treating her like a martyr.”

You mean that you didn’t know that the kids of conservatives have to be absolutely perfect and not have any human failings or problems?

She is an unwed mother. Does that term offend you for some reason? (With this being the AP, I’m a bit surprised the reported this at all, or did not use some more disparaging term than “unwed mother”.

Good for Bristol, and God Bless her.

She made a mistake, but is using her public visibility to try and prevent others from doing the same.

Kind of like closing the barn door after the horse has left.

She should be home finishing high school and taking care of her 4 month old son.

You don’t think people can learn from their mistakes and be active in helping others?

Do you know that Norma McCorvey from Roe vs. Wade is now an anti-abortion activist?

Those who made the mistakes often enough know better than anyone else about the gravity of these issues.

Bristol Palin is an adult citizen and if she wants to help others not to make her mistakes, kudos to her.

It's called experience. Those that are too young or unwilling to learn from there elders have only real life to learn their lessons. Kudo’s to those having learned the life lessons the hard way, now try to educate others with their experience.

Teens sure don’t listen to adults, maybe they’ll listen to a peer. Who would know better than one who’s been there?

Do as I say, not as I did is very much a mixed message. There are no doubt dozens, hundreds, thousands, millions of young ladies out there who made it through their teenaged years without getting pregnant. Wouldn't their advice on how they did it be a better message that, "I screwed up and look at me?"

Actually it’s like having alcoholics speak at AA meetings.

Sadly just as is the case with the left we have a special few on “our side” who are privately hoping in 4-8 years Bristol is still living at home with no college education or job and is still bickering with Levi. The argument that “she can’t even control her house how can she control the country” is very dear to them, they can’t have Bristol going and ruining it by making good on her mistake and becoming and upstanding young woman.

The whole nation (heck the whole world) has seen and read in abundance what happened to Bristol. Girls taking notice of it, sure as heck don't got the impression that it's something to aspire to. Yes I think that those who made mistakes and are remorseful can speak more authoritatively than those who didn't.

Matthew 18:12-13

How think you? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains, and seeks that which is gone astray?

And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth over it more than over the ninety and nine which have not gone astray.

Good for Bristol! This takes no small amount of moral courage.

While that little sniveling, self serving little jerk Levi is blubbering to Larry King about how unfair his pathetic life is, Bristol’s actually doing something positive & constructive.
