This is the organization that invited Tom Tancredo and Virgil Goode to speak on immigration topics at the University of North Carolina this past month. The Tancredo speech was shut down by protestors who shouted obscenities, continually disrupted the venue, shattered a window, and finally pulled fire alarms forcing the evacuation of the building. Virgil Goode’s speech, under heavy security, went ahead as planned.
These are some brave people, standing up for what they believe in a liberal and intolerant viper’s den like UNC.

...create a social movement in which a right-wing subculture is an alternative to what it calls a "poisonous and bigoted" campus climate. Kind of like what the hippies did in the 60's, and were called radicals. I guess being a "radical" today is not "good". It was OK then, why not now?

Officials at the Southern Poverty Law Center, which identifies and tracks hate groups in the U.S., told FOXNews.com that the YWC is not currently on its list, but some of the group's views are "suspect," including the notion that Western civilization is somehow superior....and that's all you need to know about whether the SPLC hates America or not.

The left is a genocidal conspiracy. Any other group could march thru campus with a torchlight parade, but any hint that they are white and the haters come out the woodwork.

"'Western' is a veiled term that means 'white,'" University of North Carolina graduate student Tyler Oakley wrote in an e-mail to FOXNews.com. "I believe that our democracy is strong enough to allow extreme forms of speech, but YWC's message is essentially a negative one, an assault on not being white or non-Western, and is therefore hateful, if not blatant hate speech."Hear that, Whitey? Any mention of your existence is an affront to the peaceful people of color who are now your superiors. Any discussion of your history or culture, except in terms of self-criticism and denunciation, is an "assault," a crime.
Ah, graduate students, is there anything they DON'T know?

Those opposed to YWC say its message teeters on hate speech and has no place at institutions of higher learning.
Well, aren't they judgmental!

Another thread about colleges.
You know that the MSM has ignored all the left wing college groups, but watch them portray this one as a bunch of Nazi skin heads.
Of course, by the DHS’s new standards, they are all going to be labeled a s a bunch of domestic terrorist types, right along with pro-lifers, pro-gun advocates, and veterans.

"I believe that our democracy is strong enough to allow extreme forms of speech, but YWC's message is essentially a negative one, an assault on not being white or non-Western, and is therefore hateful, if not blatant hate speech." Proof, as if it were needed, that our country has completely, totally lost its mind, especially the part about 'Western' means white. These people see hate in the "shadows" every where.
Officials at the Southern Poverty Law Center, which identifies and tracks hate groups in the U.S., told FOXNews.com that the YWC is not currently on its list, but some of the group's views are "suspect," including the notion that Western civilization is somehow superior.
OMG, like Western civilization hasn't brought us, um, I don't know, the RULE of LAW, PROSPERITY, DEMOCRACY, among a few other silly, minor little benefits. The SPLC is more dangerous and crazy than the "hate groups" they claim to target. If there's a group out there that hates the SPLC, I'd like to join. If not, maybe I'll form one.

"A student group that bills itself as "America's right wing youth movement" focused on countering radical multiculturism, socialism and mass immigration is causing a stir on a growing number of college campuses across the country." Tough.
If these youngsters are going to do anything about the situation, they'd better do it now while they've little to lose.
Let it go, be passive while cowering away and it'll be other more important things at stake in the future, including their very livelihood.
They may be young, but somehow they realize what inaction has in store for them.

One of my “moderate” friends attends UNC, and was practically frothing at the mouth about this group. She claimed that she only wanted “justice” in immigration policy, but it became clear pretty quick that all she really wanted to do was demonstrate her own hatred of whiteness. Which is not surprising, given that she’s half-white and currently pursuing a degree in “multicultural” literature.
As for the group itself, I am a bit concerned that their website (last I saw it) suggested using “Rules for Radicals” as a textbook to disrupt college campuses, but their hearts are in the right place.
