Yeah, Satan was flying ODumbo over the entire New York skyline and saying, “All this can be yours...”
Oh, that’s right, he already IS the Devil’s minion.
Really?
Air Force One won't buzz the Statue of Liberty with two F-16s escorting it for a souvenir photo op again?
Really?
'Cause I thought that was going to be a weekly thing or something.
Jackwipe.
Air Force One and two F16 escorts were reported and photographed—where was the photo plane?
Perhaps someone could photoshop an F-16 pilot flying low level escort with no hands while busy snapping pictures out the tinted canopy glass.
There are models of the F-16 with two seats.
A really cool job in the Air Force is photographer. At least at those times that they get to sit in the back seat of an F-15 or F-16. Not so much when they are taking photos of crash sites for mishap investigations.
Robert "Vinnie Barbarino" Gibbs
WH Press Secy Robert Gibbs just morphed into Vinnie Barabarino. Gibbs vocabulary does not extend beyond: "What? Where? I have no knowledge of that, I wasnt aware, Nobody informed me".................
Gibbs contempt for Americans is astounding. We are expected to believe the White House was "unaware" of the flyover plan. Barbarino-Gibbs does not know that a lot of high-level people have to sign-off in order to take an Air Force plane on a joyride around Manhattan?
Did fall guy Louis Caldera---- Director of the White House Military office----dupe other high officials to pulloff this stunt? Did Caldera forge official documents to get the OK?
Why was this done in the first place? Probably for a propaganda piece on our "fearless leader"---Obama----to build up his bona fides around the world.
The Obama admin evidences a stunning incompetence------the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
It's a laugh riot that the Obamabots got hit with the flu and the flyover all at once.
Rahm must be getting Excedrin Headache #45. ROTFL I wonder which crisis Rahm will "waste" (/snic)....fly or flu?
People who are in panic are easier to control.
It has to come from someone in the WH beyond just the career WH staff. Obama or one of his political appointees had to approve of the use of the aircraft.
Probably something simple like the plane took his kids to see the statute of liberty from the air. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
It was for a campaign ad.
Great photo.
AF-1 departed Andrews AFB, but the F-16 appears to be an Alabama National Guard Red Tail (see NY Post photo).
One wonders (again):
Who was on board OUR Air Force One? (and why not make the boarding list public?)
At what level did this flyover/photo shoot originate? (certainly above the pay grade of the White House Military Officer, who has shouldered responsibility for only authorizing this flight.)
Plenty of other Aircraft in flying over other landmarks and cities including NYC.
BTW - I am not minimizing the stupidity or incompetence of the administration in this fiasco. I am merely speaking to the USAF’s experience in Aerial Photography.
Cheers!
Sen. Charles Schumer said. “It’s what gives Washington and government a bad name.....No, Chuckie. YOU are what gives Washington, government AND New YUK a bad name.
My questions, exactly. The answers are not good for the WH. Otherwise, they would have been answered. As I said elsewhere, prolly donors and/or Mechelle with some ChiTown homies on board. Here's hoping that someone inside is p*ssed off enough to leak the truth...
Gibbs really is a contemptible clown. I don’t think we should let this drop. Too many people smell a rat and where there is smoke and mirrors...there is usually fire and a perp.
Not even the DUmmies are buying this.
RAHM FINALLY TALKS ABOUT YESTERDAY! This may need a thread of it’s own! He is dodging like crazy!

HARWOOD: How about when you heard about that flyover of the Air Force plane around the Statue of Liberty yesterday that so upset people in New York? When did you first hear about that? Did you approve it? And what was your reaction to it after it happened?
Mr. EMANUEL: I let the individual know that—and I’m going to keep it at that, which is how I manage the White House. It’s not a public piece that you’ll see it. The individual responsible knows what I think, and that’s what’s important. And as soon as I found out, I had a discussion with them.
HARWOOD: You did not approve it before it—what was the highest level at which it was approved before it happened?
Mr. EMANUEL: You know, why don’t we talk about the economy, don’t worry about that? Because I had a conversation with the individual and I—everybody’s responsible for their area. The person responsible I had a conversation with.
HARWOOD: But no senior White House official approved that flyover?
Mr. EMANUEL: John, the person responsible in the White House for it is—put a statement out saying they took responsibility.
HARWOOD: That was Caldera.
Mr. EMANUEL: Yeah. And I had a conversation with him immediately when I found out.
HARWOOD: But that was the highest level that it was approved before?
Mr. EMANUEL: Yes. He—in the statement, as he said yesterday, he takes responsibility. It was his decision. He and I had a conversation. The way we run the White House, everybody’s accountable for what they’re responsible for that happens under their ZIP code and their address.
HARWOOD: Right. You know that a lot of people in New York have a hard time understanding how that could ever have happened.
Mr. EMANUEL: I—sure, I see that. Part of management, having run through a number of places...(unintelligible)...is making sure that people know individual responsibility and accountability, so there’s no collective sense of nobody’s accountable. Lou runs that office, that’s why he put the statement out yesterday of taking responsibility, which I think was a good thing for him to do. Because I think one of the things that American people don’t see enough from their government is people who step up and say, `Hey, that was mine. I own that.’
HARWOOD: Thanks so much for talking with us.
Mr. EMANUEL: Sure.
Agreed----of all O's flawed and crooked appointments, Goffball Gibbs could be the dumbest....and the worst.
Somebody should run Gibb's fingerprints thru Orbis---and get his DNA tracked as well.
