So the term evolutionary astronomer
is one who explains all existing astronomy in terms of
development from unexplained matter to chaos to order and now back to chaos....
______

Thanks for the long reply, but it was missing a crucial piece of information. What can we learn about the origin of the species (biological evolution) from ‘astronomical evolution’?

You’re LOL-ing at your fellow Evos. They are the ones who need each step to evolve to the next to explain our existence.

What question? I said the stupidity could be pointed out by a 3rd grader. In 3rd through 4th grade we did several reports and I clearly remember my teacher stressing the importance and difference between cited and uncited facts. I instantly noticed that only scientific facts were cited in this article and in quotations. All of the creationist assumptions were added by the author but purposely misrepresented as factual. Even more so the author did not even give reasoning behind these assumptions, it appears as if he just made them up(and probably did).

This is something I put together a couple of years ago, and I think it fits appropriately here.

“Evolution Defender Calls Evolution a Religion”

The society we live in today has for the most part, accepted evolution as fact. We have blockbuster movies that base their premise on evolution. One of the most popular cartoons of all time, “The Flintstones,” was based upon the idea of Darwin’s theory. While the governments of the world are prepared to bow down to an offshoot of evolution, the “Rreligion of Global Warming”

For over forty years the educational system has been teaching evolution to students, while telling the kids that Creationism was just a myth. Even in many evangelical churches, you will find pastors teaching evolution as being compatible to the Bible. I would like you to remember that even those who teach evolution as fact, still call it a theory. They know they cannot prove their theory as fact, so they continue to call it a theory while teaching young skulls full of mush that it is fact.

One of the biggest defenders of the theory of evolution is a scientist named, Dr. Michael Ruse. In two thousand and five he wrote a book titled “The Evolution Creation Struggle”. Mr Ruse wrote his book as a defense against the growing evidence that supports intelligent design. On page 287 of his book, Mr. Ruse writes “My area of expertise is the clash between evolutionists and creationists, and my analysis is that we have no simple clash between science and religion, but rather a clash between two religions.” I for one, totally agree with Mr Ruse on his analogy, this is a battle between two religions.

One religion has millions of variations with many different names to entice many different people depending upon the many different desires of man. Ultimately, this religion boils down to a belief that man is or can be God. The other religion say’s that the universe and everything in it, including man, was created by the one and only “I Am”, who was and is and is to come.

The Bible say’s, “In the beginning God created”. You can read that phrase in Genesis of the Old Testament. Then if you jump to the New Testament, in the book of John it say’s, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God, and all things were made through Him, and with out Him nothing was made that was made.”

The theory of evolution may have been put in print and began its evolution into scientific theory in the eighteen hundreds, but as a religion it began the day Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden, “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Well, Eve did eat of that fruit and Adam, loving Eve more then God, followed suit. In that moment sin instantaneously entered the world and man lost his fellowship with the creator of the universe and the lover of his soul. Think about that for a moment. Two beautifully perfect people, the crowning achievements of all God created, had just rejected His authority over their lives. By accepting death with Eve over life with God, Adam chose flesh over the spirit.

In essence Adam rejected his creator as his God, sending mankind on a spiraling plunge into a religion that teaches man can be the master of his own fate. This religion has been continually coming up with new ways to define itself. Evolution is just another attempt. Whether it was men building the “Tower of Babble” to prove they were equal to God, the “Age of Reason” when men thought they had better wisdom then God, or “Evolution.” where men say they evolved without the help any God.

Ultimately it all comes down to Satan using different ways to disguise the forbidden fruit. Once lured to the tree of knowledge of good and evil Satan knows that, inevitably, we will choose the latter. After all, every generation since Adam has chosen to disobey God, thus rejecting His authority in their lives. Throughout history, Satan has found many ways to keep men from fellowshipping with our true soul mate, God.

I don’t follow your response? I read that blog post and found it another arrogant fluff piece - especially the responses.

Systematics are essential.

I’ll hedge my bets upon a Creator. If I’m wrong, then when I die, I’ll simply cease to exist. If I’m right, then my spirit will live on as was promised by God.

Athiests, on the other hand, have nothing but the blackness of death to look forward to, with absolutely no hope of anything beyond that.

Who’s the more foolish?

*Evolutionary astronomers*

For crying out loud!

LOL!

Beat me to it. We're all evolutionary biologists now.

The modern stone age family.

The only way to have a stone age was to have evolution because the whole premise was based on millions of years not thousands.

“know they cannot prove their theory as fact, so they continue to call it a theory while teaching young skulls full of mush that it is fact.”

Gravity is considered a theory.
Relativity is considered a theory.
Plate Tectonics is considered a theory.
Nuclear Theory.
Theory of Thermodynamics.

Re your cell D2: "The Universe is fine-tuned to life".

This is better phrased as "The Universe is fine-tuned to life as we know it" because all life is, by definition, life as we know it. This becomes a self-fulfilling statement since no matter how the universe is "tuned," whatever life that grows in it will logically be be adapted to that particular tuning, having evolved under that tuning. We'd be thinking the universe is fine-tuned for silicon-based life if that's what we were.

The odds are literally infinitesimal that our Universe just happened to get it right.

The problem is that you're calculating the odds after the outcome, with your definition of "right." Let's say I'm about to flip a coin 1,000 times in a row and bet on a particular sequence of heads and tails. The odds against me winning are 2^1000:1, or about a one with 301 zeroes added. It's not impossible, because nothing is in odds, but it's what we'd call "approaching zero." IOW, don't count on it ever happening.

But when all the flips are done, the odds of me getting whatever result I got are 1:1. Any result has equal odds of happening as any other.
