I'm not knowledgeable on all the details, but I know I've read or heard that only three terrorists were ever waterboarded.
The leftists, and McCain and Graham and others going berserk over our treatment of terrorists are just nuts. I don't even know how to properly describe their idiocy when considering what the terrorists have done, and were trying to do to the US and non-Muslims in general.
Maybe he’s making a bid to be one of the “Republicans” on the “bipartisan” truth commission (along with Chuck Hagel perhaps). They can use the same formula that worked so well in the case of the 9/11 commission—4 hyperpartisan Democrats and 4 lukewarm Republicans.
Why our neighbors in South Carolina put up with this imbicle is beyond me. One of the most conservative, common sense states in America has without a doubt the dumbest, most idiotic US Senator in Washington.

Yep, the same guys who nearly everyone in the country would've been more than happy to see really tortured in the days/weeks/months following 9/11/01. But those sentiments faded in time, and the libs' hatred for George Bush has far eclipsed their fear of terrorism. ...to the point where they now consider Al Qaeda just another group "oppressed" by conservatives.

Forgive me, fellow FReepers, but I voted for Flimsey Tinkerbelle in 2002.
There was no one else to fill the gigantic shoes of Sen. Strom Thurmond. I remember meeting Grahamnesty at a fundraiser in Columbia in June of that year. He gazed up at me with the eyes of a fourteen year old girl and I was sickened.
But the Democrat on the ballot aspired to be a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and was to the left of Ron Dellums, so I held my nose and pulled the Republican lever.

As I recall, Graham didn’t used to be this bad, did he? I used to really like him. Now, not so much.

Of course there are better ways, if you have the time to invest in studying the subject and developing a technique to get him to talk. But, if you know you have only a few weeks or months to get information on a planned attack from a good source, then pressure is a good alternative. If the CIA only pressured 3 terrorists it means they were not using waterboarding except on very select individuals.
