(Vanity) Good Historical Book on Islamic Violence?

Another great reference site - R. J. Rummel's Freedom, Democide and War website.

Waste of time trying to educate libs, though. Their minds are made up and are thus impervious to facts, reason and logic. If you think it through, that's what makes civil war in all of its horror inevitable in this country.

During the last two centuries, beginning in 1900, I think that there can be little doubt that the "religion" with the most "blood on its hands" is where the State is the master, i.e. totalitarian governments based on atheism or some other form of religious cult. Probably the #1 killer in the last 110 or so years has been communism... Just between Mao and Stalin, at least 100 million innocent lives have been snuffed out. Figure at least another 12 million, courtesy of NAZI Germany. Then we can't forget the millions of the "killing fields," courtesy of the Kmer Rouge. Next, figure all the communist supported insurgent groups murdering people around the world...

The next greatest cause of strife and death in the world today, and certainly over the last hundred or so years, is courtesy of the arab and muslim countries. I'm fairly certain the only reason they're lagging here is a lack of facilities. It's certainly not from a lack of trying.

Maybe you should ask your leftist "friend" which religions have "grown up," and allow their followers, and more importantly, those who don't adhere to their religion, to live in peace, especially over the last hundred or so years.

Do we not defend ourselves because of the crusades?

What I don't get is how the Crusades are seen as a bad thing (and this is coming from a Jew). It's not as if they were started in order to steal lands from innocent, peace loving muslims. As I recall, it was in order to stop the spread of muslim military conquests, and the forced conversion or submission to islam, which threatened to take over all of Europe.

Role play a game with him. Tell him you are one of Mohammad's followers and that he is to play the role of a Christian.

Tell him to bring along his wife and children and that you want a peaceful resolution to the arguement.

When you start debating, take out a knife, in the name of peace, and saw his head off. Then, rape his wife and put her in chains, and molest his daughter and marry her. Repeat with many liberals and increase your harem and your blood lust.

Now that there is no more arguing with you, you have peace...right?
