Once powerful rivals and leaders in their own parties, Al Gore and Newt Gingrich were anything but equal in their return Friday to Capitol Hill to debate the very future of Planet Earth. The Democrats running the House made sure of it.
This time, the face of the 1994 Republican Revolution wasn't allowed to share the stage with Gore, the Democrats' Nobel-and-Oscar-winning hero.
Instead, Gingrich waited his turn before the House Energy and Commerce Committee in an anteroom, as Gore and his on-camera partner, retired Sen. John Warner of Virginia, appeared first. Yes, Warner is a Republican, but he earned top billing with Gore because he supports climate change legislation before the panel.

Gingrich didn't mince words when asked about the prospect of actually reducing carbon as outlined by Democrats and President Barack Obama.
"A fantasy," he declared.

Cap and Tax ... Destroy freedom and the economy in one act. The planet isn’t in there.
Someone show me proof of what Gore says is true.
albore wrote, directed, produced and starred in his own movie and then was awarded the Nobel prize for his efforts all on a generic term that can apply to any and all. This is where I consider him a buffoon, the liberal leftists hero. Ugh!
I swear, I feel like I am living in a parallel universe these days.
I know the feeling.
And, I don’t like it.
I caught some of Warner’s testimony on CSPAN. These events for me are like a car wreck for others; I just can’t turn my eyes away from politicans pretending to be experts on scientific matters about which they understand next to zippo.
From watching, I learned that this is not just a problem of being clueless about science. Economics also isn’t their strong suit. At one point Henry Waxpaper asked Warner about the cost of climate change legislation, saying he is frequently asked about it and acknowledging it to be a legitimate concern. Warner launched into a nonresponsive and flowery serenade (not an actual one) about past situations where everyone came together in a determined bi-partisan fashion and made things happen.
He may be a Republican, but I was embarrassed that this doddering RINO was my Senator for many years.

You can't be intellectually honest in this matter and not be humbled by the scope of this issue, the unknowns and, more importantly, what we know and what we know that we don't know.
As was written recently at American Thinker, "these people actually believe that sheep farts have more to do with the climate than the 8 million mile wide ball of nuclear fire, just 93 million miles away."
John Warner and the former Vice President speak with authority on this with less credibility than Meryl Streep on Alar sprayed upon Chilean Apples.

The answer? Do your homework, folks. Be smart enough that scientists without humility call you names.
Oh, they’ve always been on unequal terms. Just not the way the reporter suggests.
Gingrich — I’m liking him less and less all the time. He’s bought in to the global warming con. And on Fox News Thursday or Friday he said we shouldn’t have done any waterboarding.
He needs to go away. He’s preparing for a presidential nomination, but we don’t want him. He’s great on some issues, but has too many RINO ideas, and has too much personal baggage.
Gingrich will do or say ANYthing to get a little camera face time.
I’d accuse him of whoring, but I don’t wish to give offence to honest prostitutes everywhere...
