small victory but a welcome one but I hope that CT as well as Iowa are trying to get a constitutional amendment like we have down here

anyone know about this?

Let the voters decide and see how it plays out.

what the homosexuals do not want that, wonder why

On Wednesday, the Connecticut General Assembly became the fourth state legislature to legalize gay marriage

Yeah, after We The People voted NO

So much for the will of The People.

Opponents of gay marriage are celebrating an amendment to Connecticut’s gay marriage legislation that allows religious organizations to opt out of same-sex ceremonies.

There's that word again.
Anyway, good news!

I think these provisions are great (in the same way it’s great to have your arm cut off if you’d die of gangrene otherwise) but I’m pessimistic about them staying around. It seems the eft will not be happy until pastors are perp-walked out of their churches for refusing to endorse sodomy.

Gov. Jodi Rell, a Republican, personally opposes gay marriage, but has said she’ll sign the bill.

That's like opposing abortion personally but signing a bill to offer abortion on demand.
