Agreed, and President Bush’s record is clear on the issue. Lies don’t cut it.

I think it says a lot that even people like me who generally eschew conspiracy theories had as a first thought...isn’t THIS convenient.
I think the other side (he knew something bad was going to break OR he just wanted to protect his family from losing everything are also plausible. But I admit, my first thought was foul play.

Something not good drove him to this. A feeling of NO HOPE?
He is looking at data we can’t see.

RAHM'S EFFORTLESS RISE TO THE TOP---SUBSIDIZED BY THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY

(Sob) I just hate it when this perfect specimen is dissed (sniffle). Boy Wonder Rahm has had an amazing career path ---a straight-to-the-top trajectory.

Boy Wonder Rahm resigned his position as an advisor to Bill Clinton in 1998. He was lolling around, wondering how he could make several million overnight when -----wonder of wonders----Wall Street came calling.

Just like that (snaps fingers)-----Rahm became a Wall Street investment banker with Wasserstein Perella, (now Dresdner Kleinwort), where he worked until 2002.

In 1999, Boy Wonder Rahm became managing director at their Chicago office. According to Congressional disclosures, Emanuel made $16.2 million in his 2 1/2 year stint as a banker AND he paid all his taxes .

Amazingly, Rahm "The Perfect" became a multi-millioniare overnight----and he wasn't even voted "Most Likely To Succeed" (sniffle).

At Wasserstein Perella, Rahm worked on eight deals, including the acquisition by Commonwealth Edison of Peco Energy and the purchase by GTCR Golder Rauner of the SecurityLink home security unit from SBC.

Rahm "The Perfect" then ran for Congress (successfully, OF COURSE).

Luckily members of the securities and investment industry became Rahm's biggest backers, donating more than $1.5M to back to 2002, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Rahm also leaned heavily upon the industry as 2006 Dem Congressional Campaign Committee Chair. Financial industry donors contributed more than $5.8M to the Dem committee, behind only retirees.

Pres Bill Clinton in 2000 named Rahm to the Board of Directors for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation ("Freddie Mac"). Rahm's position paid him $31,060 in 2000 and $231,655 in 2001 and paid all his taxes. During the time Emanuel spent on the board, Freddie Mac was plagued with scandals involving campaign contributions and accounting irregularities......(and precipitate the toxic mortgage banking crisis taxpayers are forced to bail out).

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) later accused the board of having "failed in its duty to follow up on matters brought to its attention." Emanuel resigned from the board in 2001 when he successfully ran for Congress.

In between Rahm's career choices, he won a coveted scholarship to the prestigious Joffrey School of Ballet; he was THAT good in a tutu.

======================================

Selfless, altruistic Rahm even found time to serve with (or in) the Israeli military. Course he's given out several stories about that----probably because the Mossad does not allow public scrutiny of Mossad agents stationed in the WH (sniffle).

SELFLESS RAHM HAS GIVEN OUT THIS VERSION He did not serve in the Israeli army. He was a civilian volunteer assisting the Israel Defense Forces during the 1991 Gulf War, repairing truck brakes in one of Israel's northern bases.

ALTRUISTIC RAHM HAS GIVEN OUT THIS VERSION During the 1991 Gulf War, Israel was asked by the United States not to militarily respond to the Scud missiles that Iraq was hurling at them. Israel did not .........and Rahm was in Israel to assist them in not responding militarily.

Obama can settle this Islamic smear jihad ONCE AND FOR ALL. Obaba should obtain copies of Rahn's paychecks paychecks to demonstrate that payments to Rahm were NOT coming out of the IDF military budget. Cause if they did, that would wipeout Rahm's US citizenship (bawl).

"Thanks for the link, FRiend. Not surprised as I'm sure you are not either."

Not surprised one iota, and you're welcome.
Given our discussion of the other day, I felt the smell of this could be traced right back to the money changers. ;^)
This guy might as well been dumped in Ft. Mercy Park, for chrissakes.
I'll wager a C note this too will go as unsolved as the whacking of po' Vinny.

"Here's a link to a current article posted here that you may have not seen:"

I missed it, was it posted here?
I bookmarked the article; so, thank you most kindly mick. I'll most certainly read it later when I've more time, guaranteed.

"Discusses going back to the Gold Standard...and makes an off hand comment that, gee, the powers that be will defend the current fiat money system because they derive so much benefit from it. YA THINK !!!"

HA!!!
The zerO's "order" to cut $100,000,000 from the budgets of his harpie's departments was HILARIOUS!!

Let's see...the interest generated on the $3,000,000,000,000 {trillion to those in Rio Linda} the ignoramus just blew comes out to what? $95,000,000 per month?

"We have been naive as a people to think the corruption and evilness of powerful people would not visit these shores. Ha ! Teacher Barrack will open our eyes."

:^)

Opened mine like never before have they been opened.
Took a Clintigula to wake me up to the day's daily plan, and a zerO to open my eyes.
My experience is hardly unique.

"The "suicides" and "accidents" have only just begun."

Yup, GMTA. ;^)

"Send in the Clowns!"

To play to the jesters, no-less.
We're so screwed.
Unless something dramatic happens, and happens soon.
Providing anything can be done at this late stage of the game.

If you can look at everything that's happened to this country in the last 2 years and NOT see the possibility of a vast conspricay at work I think you're nuts.

Amen.

"I find it most despicable."

I believe in one case I did commend the guilty for committing suicide..

In the second case I mentioned the Chinese government practice of killing them....

Are you more in favor of doing the killing yourself?

What I find "despicable" is the fact that there are hundreds if not thousands in Washington who are DIRECTLY responsible for the near destruction of the world's strongest economy by their IRRESPONSIBLE grasp for power by transferring my earning to the pockets of their allies, constituents and as a form of reparations to the nation's perpetual leaches and broodmares.

Now THAT was despicable.....and I am incapable of mourning those who pay the price for that horrendous crime.

But then, I'm a soulless government trained killer of women and children... Right?

Yeah. All the usual safeguards have crashed. Every type of investment market is as good as gone. They go up a penny here and a penny there, but they're not coming back. Washington spent all the available funds for re-investment on garbage vote buying. Now, they're printing monopoly money to make us believe we still have something.
The grasshoppers have outnumbered the ants. We're unsustainable.

I agree, and no one is GOING to do anything about it. They will not only never be prosecuted, their goofy constituents will continue to elect them to office.

Both parties take money from anyone willing to give it. I’m not sure how you fix the system, but it doesn’t seem to work as it was intended, ie, to give the average person a voice in their government. Money talks and I don’t have enough to buy a congresscritter of my own.

I’m not doing a DSL for Obama; I’m not sure who has taken it up.

After all the work you've done, you deserve to be hand fed grapes, fanned by servants and carried from place to place in a sedan chair for the rest of your life.
