PLANET JANET (DHS Secy's bizarrely paranoid rant--pack her back to Arizona)
NY POST ^ | 4/19/09 | EDITORIAL

Posted on 04/19/2009 2:52:50 PM PDT by Liz

DHS Secy Napolitano's not backing down on what she insists was an accurate "assessment" of a "right-wing" terrorist threat---particularly slanderous of brave Americans who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan-- saying only "to the extent veterans read it as an accusation, an apology is owed." Not good enough. The report was a bizarrely paranoid rant. Which is why her agency's own civil-rights division raised red flags over some of the language-- Napolitano released it anyway and defends her agency's paranoid warning that right-wing crazies are poised to launch a coup d'etat----she points to a similar DHS report on left-wingers. But that report warns only about the potential for cyber attacks -- a far cry from the so-called "violent" threat posed by the right. President Obama needs to disavow this nonsense -- and either set his DHS secretary straight or send her back to Arizona

Fox's Judge Andrew Napolitano sounded the alarm----he reported the 10-page document under discussion is merely an "excerpt" from a larger, more comprehensive, attack on "right-wingers." Judge Nap said any attempts by the government to "chill" the speech of the citiznery is blatantly unconstitutional and violates the First Amendment. Judge Nap said we should all be very alarmed. The DHS document is a Pocket Guide for the Thought Police.

=========================

Sap-happy Obama's public actions are very interesting, as this gambit unfolds. He's followed his COS Rahm's orders to a tee. He put on the charm offensive----gladhanding and smiling at Georgetown----acted the good father, played with the new dog (all while his admin is preparing to clamp down on the citizenry's civil rights). Watch goofball Gibbs at the next presser---his smile will be even brighter (on Rahm's orders). This report paints EVERY ASPECT OF CONSERVATISM as suspect and specific groups as a threat to national security! Specifically mentioned: homosexuality, abortion, military, gun control, immigration, border security, states rights, Christianity, Constitution.

The Boy Wonder Rahm Emanuel has been busy. This initiative has the fingerprints of Obama's COS written all over it. One never knows what this cunning, calculated individual will come up with. Emanuel's a dual US-Israeli citizen, and a Wall Street operator who became wealthy overnight. You have to wonder how much Rahm knew about Wall Street scams that collapsed the market----and exactly what Rahm knew about Madoff's con-----as he was toiling in the cozy canyons of Wall Street.

On any list of those who are a threat to national security---Rahm Emanuel is at the very top.

UPDATE The 'Original Version' was made Two Years Ago, when Bush was POTUS. But it was never released, issued, or distributed to local L/E........... Bush-era means this "Threat Assessment" is a creature of the figging neocons who controlled the Bush presidency. Looks like the neo-worms crawled back to where the power is----with the Dems---their natural allies.

The leaked "Threat Assessment" comes down hard on all the so/con groups neocons abhor. The punkneos worked their a**** off religiously cleansing the Repub party and marginalizing pro-lifers, secure borders types, and Constitution originalists.

Man, Obama's sex life must be improving as the pukeneos each take a turn under his desk. I hear Rahm is installing a Take-A-Number dispenser (like the deli) to control neocon traffic under Obama's desk.

When a public official feels more inclined to target law abiding Americans over known threats such as Bill Ayers and other terrorists, they are simply unfit for office or to pursue any other official duties in the name of America.

Napolitano needs to be removed and referred to professional therapy ASAP.

Yep...

First they came for the Banks and insurance companies but I wasn’t a banker so I didn’t speak out.

Then they came for the Transportation industry but I didn’t work for the industry so I didn’t speak out.

Then they came for the utility’s and energy sectors but I didn’t work for them either so I didn’t speak out.

But then they came for the Conservatives, calling them bitter small minded people that were clinging to guns and religion out of antipathy for those that were not like them... and no one was left to speak out for me.

Obama and his owners are pushing the Right to do something foolish. They are trying to pick a fight and then blame the Right.

Napolitano revises Extemism list, says Hugh Hefner's causing global silicone shortage. "I'm no boob," Hef asserts.

DHS Secy Janet (Butch) Napolitano said: "I am revising the Extremism Threat list and am adding Hugh Hefner to the list. At the G-8 summit, Pres Obama was appraised of global concerns that the world is running out of silicone. Hugh Hefner was named as the chief cause. Global leaders say the shortage is due to big boobism and blamed the US. "

The Smiling Messiah speaks: "I applaud Secy Napolitano for defending the world against boobism. I told world leaders it's America's fault---Hefner is causing the silicone shortage and is the source of America's chronic obsession with big boobism. I've asked VP Viden to investigate the size and scoop of boob jobs and to report his (cough) findings back to me."

=========================================

Hugh Hefner is accused of personally causing a silicone shortage and aiding and abetting America's chronic obsession with big boobism. Hefner denies the charge. Says he's not a boob.

"I'm no boob. The government is coming after me just because I'm financially hung. My TV show was cancelled, I'm selling the mansion and all my sex toys and orgy equipment. My Bunny Clubs closed, even my private jet is gone. Everything went downhill after Boobie, er, I mean Barbie, left me. "

Imagie if Ashcroft, or Ridge released a report saying:

Possible terrorist are those who are vegan or vegitarian, hold to views of animal rights, are enviornmentlaist and hold to global warming, are pro choice, pro gay marriage, anti gun, anti military and belive in the globalist agenda and are more likely to be atheist and anti business.

If there is a coup d’etat it's not going to be when they're expecting it based on some BS report and it won't be with a group known to be on their radar.

"to the extent veterans read it as an accusation, an apology is owed."

Weasel apology!

It means, "I only apologize if you are offended. Otherwise, I stand by what I said. I don't think I said anything wrong, but if it will make you happy or if my boss yells at me, I apologize to you. I don't really mean it, though."

Judge Napolitano also said the Obama Administration's attempts at forcing banks to exchange ownership for TARP funds or the FDIC would start a public investigation is extortion.

So, we have the Obama Administration engaging in extortion and violating the First Amendment.

President Obama needs to disavow this nonsense -- and either set his DHS secretary straight or send her back to Arizona.

Exactly. And every Republican politician in the country should be saying this. They should refuse to pass ANYTHING until this scandalous affair has been put right.

If they don't--then watch out. The FBI and the AFT and the Obama goon squads will soon be out there arresting people on exactly these grounds. "Because they can." Speak up, you deadbeat politicians, and don't leave it to one newspaper to say it for you!

Senators to Napolitano: Show us the data
BY Michelle Malkin
FR Posted 04/17/2009 by Sub-Driver

Senators Coburn, Brownback, DeMint, Burr, Murkowski, Inhofe, and Vitter sent the following letter to DHS Secretary Napolitano re DHS conservative hit job:

April 16, 2009
The Honorable Janet Napolitano, Secretary
The Department of Homeland Security
310 7th street, S.W.
Washington, DC 20528-0150
VIA FASCMILLE

Dear Secretary Napolitano,

We write today concerning the release of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report titled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” prepared by the Extremism and Radicalization Branch, of the Homeland Environment Threat Analysis Division.

While we agree that we must fight extremists who are both foreign and domestic we are troubled by some of the statements your department included as fact in the report titled above, without listing any statistical data to back up such claims.

First, your report states that “Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists…” without listing any data to support such a vile claim against our nation’s veterans.

Second, the report states that the millions of Americans who believe in the Second Amendment are a potential threat to our national security. Why? Do you have statistics to prove that law-abiding Americans who purchase a legal product are being recruited by so-called hate groups?

Thirdly, the report states that those that believe in issues such as pro-life legislation, limited government, and legal versus illegal immigration are potential terrorist threats. We can assure you that these beliefs are held by citizens of all races, party affiliation, male and female, and should not be listed as a factor in determining potential terror threats.

A better word usage would be to describe them as practicing their First Amendment rights. Also, you list those that bemoan the decline of U.S. stature and the loss of U.S. manufacturing capability to China and India as being potential rightwing extremists. We would suggest that the millions of Americans who have lost their jobs in the manufacturing industry to foreign countries are not potential terror threats, but rather honest Americans worried about feeding their families and earning a paycheck.

In closing, we support the mission of DHS in protecting our country from terror attacks and are proud of the many DHS employees who make this possible in conjunction with our state and local law enforcement. We ask that DHS not use this report as a basis to unfairly target millions of Americans because of their beliefs and the rights afforded to them in the Constitution.

We also ask that you provide us with the data that support the unfair claims listed in the report titled above and to present us with the matrix system used in collecting and analyzing this data?

Finally, we look forward to your prompt reply and we offer our assistance to DHS in our shared effort to fight terrorism both home and abroad by using data that is accurate and independent of political persuasion.

From Senators Coburn, Brownback, DeMint, Burr, Murkowski, Inhofe, and Vitter
