GS, if you don’t know that the FBI and the military investigations can also be used as tools, I can’t help you.
There’s such a thing as a supposedly legitimate cover for something else that’s at the bottom of it all. This air of legitimacy can indeed pull in others who wittingly or not become tools.
And yes, you can be a witting tool.
Even FBI and even Military investigators can suspect that there’s an agenda beyond their designs, but they go along to get along because on the surface there’s justification for it and it doesn’t pay to buck the system.
The material recently published targeting “single issue people” such as anti-abortion, pro-gun, anti-federal government power, etc in which Vets were named as potential terrorists strikes me as a nice try at such a cover, but clumsily transparent.
Because these lefty egghead types think everyone else out here in the workaday America are a bunch of stupid rubes.
And on that belief rests their arrogant assumption that their nice try was good enough to get by.
It wasn’t.
Stehpanie seems like a lovely young woman.
as for our DHS Czar, janet, she looks like a bull dog democrat and is scary as heck.

Worth noting: no veteran has committed any criminal act against the United States government to date, so why target returning veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq in particular? All you have to do is look at the difference between how Obama is received by the military and how President Bush was received by them. One gets a polite, respectful response, but the other always received a long standing O and cheers that rang long and loud with unbridled enthusiasm. Our troops knew where they stood with President Bush; his love and support of the military was never in question. Compare that to Obama who tries to take away free health care for disabled veterans; who slashes the current military budget and whose policies often show a total disregard for our Constitution and the principles on which this country was founded. I think the Obama team is worried about the backlash as they enact more and more of their radical agenda, and the last thing they want is military opposition from the veterans who still believe in the individual rights and liberties laid out in our Constitution and our Founding Documents.
So what you are saying is that the military has thought it a good idea to cooperate with any agency as clearly out of control as the FBI is. Is that it?
Perhaps you’d also like Churches to cooperate with abortion clinics and drug cartels.
When a government agency fills a building with combustible materials after being warned it would be fatal to young children, you’ve go to wonder. And seeing one simply brilliant FBI agent on video tell Koresh’s mother, “I hope you’ve said your good-byes”, what is there left to say except execution was the plan all along.
So yes, I’m just thrilled to hear that you think the military would let us know if anything was wrong here, as if that something wrong threshold hadn’t already been passed when it opted to gift the FBI with cooperation.

With this administration, it's anybody who has had the guts to question or speak out against his leftist agenda.
An example is the often repeated (paraphrased) statement that "all AGW skeptics are deniers that should be jailed". That attitude by people whom you know Obama listens to is not very comforting.
The ironic part is, with his "I won" attitude and the above mentioned definition of an extremist, they will eventually drive a lot of people underground into the organizations that may very well be extremist.

You mean groups that could be regarded as modern day “Sons of Liberty?” The only appeals to military men active and retired that I’ve seen have been about remembering our oath to the Constitution, and encouraging them to support the People if shooting starts.
To a Leftist, it might scare the sh!t out of them to think that the military might support a revolution to restore constitutional rule, and THEY would certainly see that as extreme.
I believe they are planning to do the same to our AD and vets as the “liberating” Soviets did to the Polish officer corps. They rightly see that if a rebellion starts, military veterans will provide experienced leadership in that cause!
As for the military branches “cooperating” with the FBI; what the heck to you expect them to do officially when they are ordered to do so???
Returning US military vets will be labeled as mentally unstable and POSSIBLY as right wing extremists by the DHS giving the Obama Administration the excuse to form his civilian ‘defense’ force.
The reasoning from the Obama Administration and the media echo chamber will be that Bush’s unpopular and unproductive war on terrorism has compromised the US military and a new force will be needed to ensure stateside US security.
