While not for all, I think this approach has a lot of merit and much that can be incorporated into all of our lives. The flip side of self-reliance is more family time . . .
But the question begs to be asked ( and answered)..what belongs..truly belongs to Caesar? I’ve had this discussion with many people and the argument is that, as Christians, we are to abide by the law of the land. I agree with that to a degree, but when man’s law violates God’s higher law..well..that’s problematic for me.I’m sure it’s the same for most of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I’m deliberately trying to make less than $5000 a year. It’s not exactly fun to have to share a house but in the end, I won’t be ashamed.
