Great group of tea party pictures here, with links to other tea party pics.

A few

Possibly Indianpolis

Minneapolis

Fresno

Even liberal Madison, WI

"Obama's not going to cut taxes for the middle class. He has created a staggering, unprecedentedly large, jaw-dropping, eye-popping structural deficit..."

Chicago Tea Party Pics

San Antonio

The lamestreams are disgusting ... marginalizing, mocking and maligning these spirited and meaningful protests.

This is an awesome participation, all across the fruit plain ... God bless America and sane Americans!

Here's some pics from the Davenport, IA Tea Party. Estimate is about 500 people. Held downtown in front of Representative Bruce Braley's office (he was conveniently out of town):

Fresno’s Tea Party was great! KMJ was there but did not guide the event. The crowd was about 7-8,000 at its height. It was so much fun, like an oversized FReep!

Just a side note.......the speaker at our rally referred to the DHS report on the terrorists who are attended the TEA Parties.....when I commented to a friend that I had come because of that report.....that I got mad and was determined to come....the two ladies behind me who didn’t even know each other both piped up and said that’s what made them come as well. They were as angry about that report as I was.

Great pictures! Thanks for the ping. I love the sign that says “End the Marxist Freak Show Now” I didn’t see that one when I was there.

Thanks for posting this for me, 2nd Amendment Mama.

Boerne is a very small Texas Hill Country town. It is a lovely little old town, and a nice place to visit to go "antiquing" , get good home cooking, and just enjoy a pleasant day.

Mr. basil and I decided that we would forego San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston--and go out to see ordinary small town Texans hold a "protest".

It was great. Mr. basil estimates that between 700 and 800 people were there in the town square. There were no big named speakers--just a couple of local conservative politicians, and a guy with a guitar singing a song he composed for today.

The crowd was spirited, and of course, very well behaved. We had some pleasant conversations with quite a few of the attendees, and found them to be your normal, average working class Texans who are very unhappy with Washington DC.

It was truly a lovely experience, and I'm really glad that we picked Boerne for our Tea Party.

Is there a record for the amount of posts on a thread?

I'm sure there is, but this won't even come close. Partly because there are multiple threads on the topic, and partly because the subject matter will be Overcome By Events soon to come. Whatever those might be.

The longest thread I know about has 13,725 posts, with an occasional post being added from time to time, even now, 5 years and 8 months after the first post. The subject, Logan, who weighed 1 lb. 8.3 oz when thread was started, is now a fine young man, and a future leader of the nation. The most recent post was less than a month ago, part of an update on the Young Master.

Here he was "then"

And here he was a month ago:

Obama just put the Little Man into at least tens of thousands of dollars of debt. Probably more.

Eugene Oregon

6:00 PM Gateway Mail Processing Facility

This in the major post office for the area and is always set up with special lanes and drive by drop boxes for last day tax filers, and this “after work” time is the peak time for drop-offs and always attended by the media.

The number of demonstrators was probably larger than any political demonstration I have ever seen in this town. The sidewalk right of way area was packed with folks carrying signs and/or various flags for two blocks either side of the post office, and another two block long bunch of folks directly across the boulevard. Perhaps 1500 people (I dunno could have been more) and I saw one disruptor who was actually posing as one of our side.

One of the local TV reporters (KVAL) was heard to say in her stand-up that this was a Republican sponsored event. Some of us went to correct her and she said she had a piece of paper saying it was a Republican event and that was what she was going with. So depending on what gets to the air there may be some further response required.

I didn't take any photos I was busy with my other paraphernalia and interacting with the public.

The response from passing traffic on Gateway was tremendous. From the traffic going to the mail drop (who had to pass right through the middle of our crowd) it was mixed, with many obvious hard core supporters of the Present Occupant purposely avoiding any eye contact. But the message was clear even to them I believe, that there just may be numbers of us sufficient to overturn their dreams.

But it was a successful event and boy are my old feet tired.

1500 in Bend Oregon!

Twenty tea parties in this state. My wife and I went to the tea party in downtown Bendand it was fantastic - no obcenities, no broken store front glass, just wonderful concerned folks with signs and flags and baby strollers and a “we aren’t going to take it anymore” attitude.

I talked with several folks and they all agreed - this is only the beginning. My hope is that this is change we can believe in!
