I’m coming form a view point like Beck and others are coming from

We should not be making this as just republicans, this is an American issue.
This is about protecting the country and keeping us strong before it all goes belly up

The media does count believe it it not
, we need to get the message out to the masses of this country that there is a sweeping grass roots view right now that we as Americans not republicans are fed up of this crap

The media and the left are painting this as just a bunch of republican sore losers like the guys Beck has had on and we cannot let them have that message other wise independents etc wil turn off and say screw it it’;s just against obama snd they can’;t admit they lost

we need democrats, independents and republicans and everything else except commies, socialists homos etc pushing their agenda

many republicans are the problem too not just obama though he is one massive problem for me
some n the GOP are now going to jump on the bandwagon and say look at me, get on the camera etc

this should not happen at all, they can demonstrate their stance b y voting and standing up to the spending and taxes

if this is perceived as republican the it plays into the left and this should not happen.

I just hope who ever is running that tea party has not invited him along with just inviting republicans.

as beck and others have said this is not a partisan event but us as the public pissed off

agreed I can;t believe some now just want this to be a conservative movement, it is not

hopefully organisers have included everyone and not just conservatives other wise this is not going to work as many of us had hoped

many republicans are just as bad, we do not need the GOP using this to get on camera and the going back to DC doing nothing again

THANK YOU

IT seem some just do not understand this.

this is not a partisan event we need all walks of life form all parties minus commies etc

to have these kind of speakers is playing into the hands of the left saying that we’re just a bad bunch of losers ..

left and right have been wrong on the spending Bush and obama tough obama is killing us right now

to have elected officials form one party is defeating the object of what this was about

I am not concerned with such petty things. I want conservatism to succeed and if some Republicans get emboldened by this and get religion as a result that is fine with me. I care even less about playing defense and worrying about what the media says about it.

I have no problem with them being there but they need to be in the back and listen

These tea parties cannot be hijacked by certain republicans it is we the people regardless of which party they belong

like other s have said , we cannot play this into the hands of the left we need to keep up with this but make it done by the average Joe

we need the media believe it or not, my town is small compared to many places and we need every one there not just a 50 or 60 folks in front of the camera

this is not just a one sided attack but an attack o different levels and fronts
one is the media, we have to play them to our advantage

I’m saddened to hear this about any of the TEA Parties. If elected officials choose to attend a TEA Party, IMO, they should be there to listen, not talk.

I'm with ya on that, for sure. Kristin spoke at the event in Orlando and his speech was rousing. We have an individual that is running for Congress in '10 speaking here. He's a good guy and I hope he doesn't disappoint!

So you don’t agree that this is suppose to be a bipartisan effort by the people?

No! It should be quite partisan. By that, I mean, the PEOPLE are the partisans!

No I want them exerting conservative leadership right up front not in the back. I want them speaking - not just listening. Better late than never. So I have no idea what you are talking about. Whatever it takes for the Republicans to grow spines is fine by me. And it positions them to start making inroads in 2010 and weeding out dems. And worrying about what the media hacks will say is a defensive strategy for losers.

well it seems the point of these tea parties is missed, this is not a conservative thing which has Been pointed out time and time and time again , on here on this thread on shows like Beck and Rush

do we want to have the convert to being conservative yes but they are not going to come if they perceive this as a conservative issue are they

it is that simple, we do this as Americans as others have pointed out.

This about taxes, and spending and the Govt not listening

I really do not know why you do not understand that to be honest

Out of curiosity did you not hear time and time again from shows, on here, radio bloggers, guests on TV say this is not a conservative issue?
This is about America and the way we are getting out into debt.
Honestly do you not want others to join us as well as us conservatives?

As much as I would love to push conservative agendas on other issues I am not, nor will the signs be either

Still - I see no harm caused by Republican congressmen signing on and showing up. So I fail to see your logic. And no I have not been listening to talk radio much lately as I have been working. But I doubt Rush would be disheartened if a bunch of Republican congressmen decided to become conservatives and show conservative leadership.

Why is it that Republicans only "talk" conservative when they are a minority ?

Boehner also held the entire Republican delegation in the House together to vote against ZERO’s spending of tax dollars with bailouts and the budget, but we don’t want him? Some of the people on here don’t seem to have a clue that we need everyone we can get and yes that includes elected officials who support the idea of less taxes.

Makes me wonder about some of the posts on here that want to pick and choose about who shows up. Wish there was a way to determine who are disruptors and who just flat out want to create problems in the GOP.

“I’m saddened to hear this about any of the TEA Parties. If elected officials choose to attend a TEA Party, IMO, they should be there to listen, not talk.

It’s OUR turn to talk.”

I’m on the Houston tea party committee and at the very beginning, we voted that no elected officials would speak at events because this was our forum. If they wanted to attend as a taxpayer and not speak, fine; but they weren’t going to use the tea parties for their political benefit or ride the coattails of the parties’ success. And like others have said, if they start looking like a partisan group the MSM will jump all over that. They’re already accusing the movement of being funded by corporate lobbyists, etc. which really infuriates me.

This is not the place for elected officials to speak...it’s our turn...they should listen.

“Bad, bad idea now Tea Parties will now be dismissed as just another partisan gimmick.”

You haven’t noticed? They already are. Ever since FOX news announced sending their top dogs out. With that, Politicians followed and there are some speaking. A decision should have been made from the get go...either this is bipartisan, or it isn’t. Some say it is, some say it isn’t. But hey, if the lefties and the Obama administration are going to do everything in their power to ‘ruin’ the day, I’d say bring on every ‘bama bashing sign immagineable. JMO.

Oh really? You heard this straight from Spectors lips?...and if so believed it?

Oh, and welcome to FR

I don’t know why he would lie about that...not saying he wasn’t...he spoke about it on the radio as if it were a known fact.

If he’s lying, I’d like to hear Cheney refute it.

And thanks for the welcome! Been a lurker and occasional poster for a while.
