Bad, bad idea now Tea Parties will now be dismissed as just another partisan gimmick.

He should be more than welcome to listen though.

I’m saddened to hear this about any of the TEA Parties. If elected officials choose to attend a TEA Party, IMO, they should be there to listen, not talk.

It’s OUR turn to talk.

But, whatever.

My sentiments exactly.

Boehner’s purpose is to infiltrate. He’s part of the problem. The only effect Boehner can have is to turn this into something it’s not.

Sounds like he may be walking our walk if he voted against the investment bank giveaway and has never taken an earmark.

I think one positive is it is getting their attention and lib media. Show up with friends, families, neighbors, etc. Bring one of the small flags.

its all good. If anything this can be made to work for us. When he gets up on stage the crowd should boo him off and then chase him out of the event. That would make our point perfectly.

Agreed, “Let he who does not spend our money have the first voice!”

We need to discourage the long time politicians (the ones who are part of the problem) from taking credit for this movement. This is our movement, the ones who have to pay the taxes, the ones who have to BALANCE OUR OWN CHECKBOOKS!!!

Any Politician who takes credit for this is just as bad as a welfare leech, suckling off the teat of the taxpayer and hard worker.

Absolutely right Frantzie.

The tea parties are also crucial in sending a message to the RINOs and blue-dogs.

May our tea parties give them the strength to stand up to the socialists. Numbers may well determine how they vote in the future.

We definitely need to to attract the blue dogs as well!

If they are for less government spending then welcome aboard.

We should have NO politicians involved in this. None.

Thanks, I stand corrected. I forgot about September.

If Boehner gains strength by attending a large tea party I say GOOD. Let him see first-hand the power of the people,
it may just put more fight in him.

As for past votes it’s done. Instead of dwelling on it I’m focusing on the future and I’ll take any and every ally I can find if it means my kid can grow up with the same freedoms I had.

Blue dogs are crucial. I know alot of FReepers like to moan and hold grudges but when our nation is battling for it’s very identity then we have to take every step to forget about partisanship and just take what allys we can get. Politics is an interesting part of my life but I put being an American above being a Conservative.

In my personal experience the Blue Dogs Democrats would be proud conservatives except for the fact they buy into the MSM’s scare mongering propaganda that Republicans and Conservatives are bad, bad, bad....

Some of the Blue Dogs vote for a Democrat just to follow party lines if there is a weak Republican candidate.

Blue Dogs are vital and we need to reach out to them by drawing them to our conservative values and not by compromising our values.

As soon as punks like that get involved, you know the movement has been hijacked.

I agree with most of the posts about this being a bad idea.
We are not doing this to go to a GOP rally. The GOP is part of the problem.

We’ve been sold a bill of goods on these tea parties. Grassroots until the last day or two then the entrenched pols take over the mics & stage.

Boooooooo!

Thank you. Our elected reps are part of the problem. This isn’t just a anti-Obama/democrat thing it is also anti-republican tax and spending we saw for 6 years. Both parties are in the wrong.

Actually, here in Central PA, I heard Arlen Spector say that Dick Cheney came to the Senate Republicans and told them that the first bailout needed to happen or our economy was going to collapse.

Oh really? You heard this straight from Spectors lips?...and if so believed it?

Oh, and welcome to FR

this should not be hijacked by just republicans, we need Dem faces there too other wise this plays into the medias hands of just being a republican event Boehner and others need to stay away unless they bring a Dem with them

Not sure where you are coming from. If Republican politicians want to climb aboard - the more the merrier. If they have to follow the people so be it. The media wants us on defense worrying about this or not. Lets stay on offense and get as many conservative minded people including politicians joining us and no dems please. To heck with what the media says.
