Moral Education for the New Order
The American Thinker ^ | April 14, 2009 | Kyle-Anne Shiver

The Rasmussen folks last week revealed a poll wherein American young people are just about evenly divided on whether they prefer capitalism to socialism. Among our under-30 crowd, 37% prefer capitalism, 33% socialism, and 30% are undecided.

Sucking at the teat of the state has never looked so good, apparently.

Well, this certainly helps explain Obamamania.

Tie this purely disgusting finding to last year's Josephson Institute Report Card on the Ethics of American Youth, which determined levels of lying, cheating and stealing among high school students, and you'll see a very disturbing pattern of moral erosion.

30% stole from a store in the past year; 23% stole from a parent or other relative; 20% stole something from a friend. 42% lie regularly to save money; 83% lied to a parent about something significant. 64% cheated on a test in the last year; 38% cheated 2 or more times; 36% used the internet to plagiarize an assignment.

I'm not sure whether to look for a paddle or throw up my hands and guzzle some Pepto Bismol.

You may be thinking it could be worse. And as it turns out, you would be correct. It actually is worse. By students' own admission, 26% confessed they lied on at least one or two questions on the survey. Experts agree that dishonesty on surveys usually is an attempt to conceal misconduct, i.e., to make oneself appear better than he actually is.

But it gets even worse.

Yeah, I can confirm this. My nephew 25, got into a heated argument about how one God is running the country. The basis for his entire argument was relativity. EVERYTHING is relative. There is no right and wrong just a little bit righter and a little bit wronger.

I believe Evan Sayet's speech at the Heritage club explained this.

How Modern Liberals Think.

Just ask him if that includes his position on relativity. When what passes for his brain stops, follow it up with asking him if his position is absolute. Finish by calmly pointing out that he is a hypocrite.

We did that. I didn't even faze him. He kept telling me, "Go home and do your mental gymnastics to show that I am wrong."

No, he didn't get the irony. He can't. He's fully indoctrinated.

The under 30 crowd in fully indoctrinated. I see it all over and any logical conversation does not apply. They want everything given to them. Some do not want to work for a thing.

And this is in a heavily Republican county.

“64% cheated on a test in the last year; 38% cheated 2 or more times”

The lied, and the rate for cheating and multiple cheaters is much higher.

;-)
