Just Say NO to Higher Taxes
and Bigger Government!
On April 15, 2009, from 5pm to 7pm, a group of patriots will join together in Centennial Park to express our collective outrage at the rampant spending and out of control government growth that is taking place in Washington D.C.
The Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party movement started when Rick Santelli, On Air Editor for CNBC, set out on a rant to expose the bankrupt liberal agenda of the White House Administration and Congress. Specifically, the flawed "Stimulus Bill" and pork filled budget. He called for a Chicago Tea Party where advocates of the free-market system could join in a protest against out of control government spending. Since then, thousands of people across the country have hosted and participated in rallies doing just that. NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!
From 5pm to 7pm, we will gather to show our elected officials and the rest of the country that we do NOT want government to solve all of our problems. That we do NOT want to use the power of government to "spread the wealth" around. That we do NOT want to burden our children and children's children with a national debt created by political paybacks in the face of an economic recession. NO nation has ever spent its way to prosperity, and we view these current events as an attack on the very foundations of our nation.
In addition to a Ceremonial Dumping of Tea, we will feature speakers that will address a variety of topics focusing on Freedom, Our Constitutional Rights, and the Founding Fathers. Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to join with other Conservatives to send a loud and proud message to the out-of-control Washington D.C. types who've forgotten they are in OUR employ, not the other way around.
