Our enemies have learned a great deal about Obama from this incident and none of it is good for us.
Yes it will, and there will be no mention of the fact that he put off the rescue until it was almost too late.
Like one poster said, Obama is the man and did a great job.
Which is why killing three of the four terrorists dead was so important.
And it is not at all clear that, had the Captain not jumped out of the boat a 2nd time, that Obama would have EVER done anything.
It may never be clear. But my sense is, the Captain's first jump was a clear indication that another jump was forthcoming. When it happened, the good guys were ready. Obama didn't have to "do" anything. All he needed to do was allow the use of deadly force (something BJC prevented on several occasions). He did. It worked. We're better served by giving him credit when and where it's due than by reflexively attacking him at every turn, which makes us look irrational.
You concentrate on the hostage.
I concentrate on the result. The Captain is alive, the hostages are dead or in custody, and the little seafaring jihadi bastards will think twice before boarding another American ship. That's as good an ending as we could have asked for.

All that would accomplish is to push her head in further.
If in fact, he did, at all. It may have just been an opportunity that the operators in the water couldn't let pass- orders or no.
If he did give the word, then credit where it's due. But I wouldn't be shocked if he were still wondering what to do when this peach fell into his lap.
Important thing though is that the job got done, and done right. Skipper is safe, bad guys are all bled out, no money to subsidize the pirate trade changed hands, and some operators are due for a beer, or ten.

Spare me. IMO it shows that Obama let the military do its job - to plan a difficult tactical rescue. I can't stand Obama, but I'm not gonna be like the Dummies and reflexively rip the other guy without even thinking.

Take LOTS of hostages, and never attack a boat unless you can HOLD the boat!”
Sorry, I do not think that pirates stop being pirates because a few other pirates did a bad job of it.
I think bombing their homes to rubble, destroying their ports and sinking their boats and ships MIGHT make some type of difference, if done very soon.
Also, the pirates will “learn” from this: treat your captives harshly. The Americans will do nothing until your hostage tries to escape!

Because one was on the Bainbridge when the Captain jumped out of the small lifeboat again. The fourth terrorist was taken into custody after the other three were killed.
