I, like most freepers, are wary of Obama’s crisis management skills, but he may prove all of us wrong. It is premature to wrote him off on this.

The irony of it is that we have massive superior firepower, the technology to end this in minutes, thousands of highly trained servicemen and all of it is hamstrung because we have a limp wristed Muslim president that has more loyalty to these pirates than towards America.
I keep getting the strong feeling that this will be the straw that breaks Obamas hold on the military, I just keep getting this feeling the Armed Forces are about to sever the lines of communication with the Whitehouse and do the right course of action.
The USS Boxer, based here in San Diego is the Flagship of the unit off the Horn of Africa.
There might be a few Somalians in the boat, but in mins. they can have hundreds arrive as backup.

Sending the Boxer is a big uptick in the game. If I was a Somali pirate I'd be a little concerned about that guy showing up in the neighborhood.

No, the USS Boxer is not named after the senator from CA. The Boxer, LHD4, is the sixth ship to carry that ame. She is the sister ship of the USS Kearsarge that my son serves on.
