BRITAIN was just “10 days from disaster’’ when police swooped on terror suspects allegedly plotting to blow up shoppers and young partygoers.
Evil al-Qaida bombers were ready to unleash the UK’s bloodiest ever attack with a series of bombs near the home of Manchester United, security sources confirmed last night.
The gang had targeted three shopping centres – including one close to United’s Old Trafford stadium – for a horror assault on “western hedonism”.
And they planned to blow up the city’s trendy Birdcage nightclub, often packed with celebrities including the champions’ star striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Police realised the terrorists were about to strike after unearthing coded emails and internet chat.
Last week undercover officers watched as some of the men filmed the city’s busy St Ann’s Square and snapped each other outside the Arndale and Trafford centres and the Birdcage.
“Specific targets were never mentioned in the chatter but these men were not tourists and taking these pictures was highly suspicious,” said a source.
“They were a highly credible threat and several dates listed on emails indicated a strong chance they may have moved within 10 days.’’
Police suspect some of those arrested had undergone training at terror camps in their native Pakistan before heading to the UK on student visas. Some are also thought to have links to Finland.

Unfortunately, it may take a 9/11-type of event to make any country stand up to the bad guys. Short of that, you can play simple word games and be “the nice guy” against the USes and Israels of the world.

Lets allow more of them to come to the West. Allowing Muslim immgriation is just plain foolish.
This doesn’t make sense if they were planning an explosion over Easter. Man Utd are playing away at Sunderland this weekend and the crowd density in that area would be much less dense than during a home game. But if they are planning on hitting a night club it would have to be a late night attack which would mean there would be no sports crowd and the rest of the mall would be empty as te shops would be closed.
He thinks that Islamic terrorist groups are really secular and materialists inspired more by biological theories of evolution than the Quran.

Do you really think it would make a difference? We DID experience 9/11 and look at us now. After the initial shock and unity, people used the event to blame us more than ever. The same thing would happen again, I think, only worse.
Yet, as far as I know, absolutely no recriminations about this conduct. The enemy within.

We had a 9/11 event and the bastards are still here in our country, and we let in more every day. Cultural suicide.
Except for Barack Obama's America. We will have another 9/11 in America and our President will apologize for whatever our enemies perceived we did to antagonize them so much they felt they needed to attack us. (Truth is, all we did was exist as non-Muslims.)
People will die, Obama will apologize for us, American journalists will blame Bush, the sheeple will yawn and change the channel; more people will die, Obama will again apolgize, American journalists will blame Bush some more, the sheeple will sigh and change the channel; even more people will die, Obama will apologize again and again, American journalists will say Bush started it, the sheeple will watch a 30 minute special, cry and then change the channel; millions of Americans will die, Obama will say he's sorry and would they please stop, American journalists will blame Bush and hail Obama's cool diplomacy under pressure, the sheeple will fly their flags for a week, cry and then change the channel; American cities will fall, Obama will apologize and give up said American cities to terrorist rule, American journalists will rail against Bush's illegal war that led us to this point and then, finally, these news outlets will be forced to shut down by the terrorists and thus they will stop their ridiculous biased support of Obama and THEN AND ONLY THEN will we stand a chance--when the main stream biased media is silenced. But, then what will the sheeple do? Give up their guns, pledge their allegiance to Obama, and wait for the gestapo to bang on the front door. And the patriots will stand up and take this country back.
“Evil al-Qaida bombers” ........... as opposed to non-evil al Qaida bombers? They’re just fanatically sick individuals who feel the prosperous people of the world shouldn’t be enjoying life that they themselves are unable to do. Every one should be equally miserable, that way we can all be happy.
