Now I get it - it's not the content of liberal talk radio is flawed for a format that requires rational though - its the station owners holding them back...

The power switch on my radio and the clock on my wall work very well. I'm perfectly capable of shutting the radio off while the liberal trash is playing and switching it back on when my clock indicates it is time for what I actually want to hear. If I never get to the latter case, the radio will just stay off. I don't hesitate to share that opinion with local advertisers either.

They actually have some hosts beating Rush in the ratings. Of course they don't tell people that those "victories" are during time periods Rush isn't on. How they are able to get away with that claim is anybodies guess.

Station owners to be forced to take subprime radio!
The toxic assets are liberal talkers repeating what's already in virtually all big city newspapers, in most "news" magazines, and on all TV networks and most cable TV.
Disaster for radio looms. Move over mortgage lenders

Jon Sinton, then with Air America, predicted in 2004 that
“in five years we’ll be on 600 stations” in an interview with
Mark Jurkowitz of the possibly-soon-out-of-print Boston Globe. Probably 60-65 stations at the most do libtalk and it’s failed in markets like Boston. Miami’s station just flipped to sports...
http://www.940winz.com/pages/Change.html
“WINZ has not made money as long as it’s been progressive. The reasons are simple. The audience for the format is very loyal but small...”
Clear Channel’s WHJJ 920, Prov. RI, dumped libtalk for
conservative talk including Rush Limbaugh. The program
director came out and said “The Air America experiment is
over.”
And oh yes, Obama 1260 in Washington DC—an area not exactly
conservative—flipped to a business format, one that would
make...”Money”

If you can’t make it as a ‘progressive’ aka extremely liberal on MSNBC or late night you can’t make it anywhere.
“Miller’s radio show was briefly televised live from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Eastern Time on MSNBC from April 30, 2007 to May 2, 2007. During this period, the show originated from MSNBC’s studio in Secaucus, New Jersey, the studios and time slot formerly used by the now-cancelled Imus in the Morning. After the stint, she said that she was not interested in the position full-time.”
“In the fall of 1995, Miller became one of the few women to host her own late night television talk show, The Stephanie Miller Show syndicated by Buena Vista Television. The show was cancelled after just 13 weeks.”

It’s the liberal tactic of playing three-card Monty with reality.
Record low temperatures are proof positive that Global Warming is real.
Low tides previously unseen surely are a sign of rising sea levels.
NOBODY listening to libspew on the radio obviously means they have more listeners than Rush Limbaugh.
Mental illness.

"So, that's what Democratic senators are starting to look at is there have been markets where we're number one in the market where they were going to drop the format," Miller said."A radio station that's number one in their market so they drop the format? That'll be the day.

Of course it’s because they can’t compete. These idiots are so far into denial or their own version of reality that they don’t realize that if it brings in advertisers and their money, the station will put it on? And advertisers want an audience that will spend. Not sandal-wearing, greasy-haired cheapskates.

Hey Stephanie,
Did you hear that Rush Limbaugh had a problem with pain killers? Really, it's true. You should try something you haven't a thousand times before, and use that piece of information sometime to try to discredit him. It'll be effective. You won't look at all petty or small. Nobody will conclude that you really have nothing of substance to say. The next time Limbaugh is the topic, mention the drugs.

Radio advertising is down across the board. I know this because I have been very recently relieved of my duties at a family owned circle of stations in the Albany, NY market. I was responsible for scheduling commercials and programmming. From my observations, the owners are not exactly to blame. They just tried to find niches and fill them with advertisers. The owner is a Catholic, business-minded, fairly conservative man.
On the one AM talk spot they own, WROW AM, the morning show - conservative to every degree - beat the pants off of the afternoon drive liberal show. We have tons of mom and pop advertisers here, and they learn where their dollars are best spent. On the FM side, family-friendly stations fare much better than the hip-hop and grunge stations.
Air-America and the like just can't admit that their shows are drags on stations and do not draw profitable advertisers.
Crap, I hope this post is informative...it's late and I'm tired.
To: Rufus2007
No, silly. You don’t have bright lights and glitz and glamor on talk radio, that’s why the lib’s message isn’t getting through. They can’t logically defend what they think without advertising tricks.
