School bans Muslim mother from parents' evening for wearing veil

A veiled Muslim mother was turned away from her child's school after being told visitors' faces should be visible at all times (picture posed by model)
A mother was barred from a parents' evening at her child's school because she was wearing a veil.
The mother-of-one arrived at the function wearing a full veil which covers every part of the body except the eyes.
But she was turned away on health, safety and security grounds after the headteacher said visitors' faces should be visible at all times.
The woman, who is a former pupil of the school, is furious with her treatment and says her religion should not affect her access to the Catholic school.
The incident happened in Blackburn, Lancs, which was at the centre of controversy three years ago when Jack Straw MP angered Muslim groups by suggesting women who wear veils over their face can make community relations harder.
The former foreign secretary branded the veil as a 'visible statement of separation and of difference' in 2006.

Okay, what am I missing here. Mom is a mooslem and sends her child to Catholic school????
p.s...... wouldn’t her “peeps” stone her for such a thing?
And the reason for a "devout" muslim sending her child to a Catholic school? In general, I think schools should accomodate such quirks of attire, but in this case it seems more likely that the purpose was to provoke a reaction. Since the goal seems to have been to disrupt others, I'd prefer that she send her child to a school that matches her values and beliefs, rather than making the world bow to her demands like Obama bowing to a foreign king.
Muslims at a Catholic school? Why?
I use to work with a guy who, I believe by what he told me, was a former Black Panther and a current Muslim.
this was back around 1980.
He decided that his kids needed a good moral education and seeing as how that good muslim schools were not in the area, he sent his kids to Catholic School.
I heard that years later, he reconverted to christianity in some capacity.

Covering the face is used to hide a persons identity. This rule is not about 'quirks of attire'.
About people who claim covering your face is a religious right and they shouldn't be required to uncover their faces for any reason: I wonder if they approve of countries requiring women to cover their faces?
It's also interesting that, although the veil is supposed to be a symbol of modesty, and she doesn't want to remove it in front of males, she did up her eyes very heavily with makeup.
My question is...........why should I care? Christians are bad-mouthed constantly here, as well as there. The Muslims don’t want tolerance(freedom from bigotry), they want acceptance(favorable reception; approval; favor). They want not their own place to go, but for the Catholics to relinquish their place to them. Its like the Palestinians with Israel. Why not go to Saudi Arabia? Afghanistan? Pakistan? Iraq? Iran? India? Nope gotta be Israel.

The fact is that she wore this as she wanted to make a statement.
no where does it say that a woman has to wear a veil , no where.and yet many in the UK do .
this woman got what she wanted, attention and in this area believe me there is fights every weeks between English whites and Pakistani Muslims

They also want the perks of a free, prosperous society and then want to be supported while they live lavish lives.
Being Muslim and part of the PC religion, naturally the rules are not supposed to apply to her.
To cause trouble by breaking the rules and causing comment and controversy.
Infiltrate, then destroy from within.
