So, facing the coldest winter in a long time, the DimocRATS are going to try and pass a bill that forces people to engage in behavior that causes Global Warming, right?

Any member of Congress or the Senate who votes for this is voting to destroy our country. You know what that makes them.

Have the poor figured out that they get a jelly finger in the buttocks from the Democrats via high energy prices, aka taxes? And that the Republicans like for them to have inexpensive energy and for them to keep more of their paychecks?
And why can’t the Republicans get that simple message out to Americans?

requiring a reduction in emissions of 20 percent by 2020 from 2005 levels. President Obamas plan envisioned a 14 percent reduction by 2020. Both would reduce emissions of carbon dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases linked to global warming by roughly 80 percent by 2050.
Does anyone know where they get their numbers from? Are they totally arbitrary? IIRC, the original Kyoto 'cuts' were.

The new bill would require every region of the country to produce a quarter of its electricity from renewable sources like wind, solar and geothermal by 2025. Utterly stupid!! Totally impossible! This is the kind of central planning not based on reality that was common in the USSR. Look where they are today.

These idiots are completely unhinged.
Here we are in the biggest economic downturn in history, and the liberals do the following:
1.) Raise Taxes.
2.) Spending raised through the stratosphere
3.) Apply moves to stifle business though excessive legislation.

This folks is the whole ball of wax. The end game. Total government control of virtually EVERY economic activity in this country.
The Republicans simply have to fight this tooth and nail with a media blitz and direct communication to the American people explaining to them what will be in store for them.
Well, I can dream can’t I.........

But the bill leaves crucial questions unanswered such as
How will we save the polar bears, penguins and wooly mammoths when the actions in the bill have no effect on temperature?
Will we restore the once-a-month public bath?
Where are the subsidies for domestic buggy-whip manufacturers?
Where is the funding for the giant sun umbrella in outer space?
