One thing about studies like this is, I don't know how (or if) they control for other factors. Are red meat eaters more likely to smoke? Are they less likely to watch other risk factors (some we may not even know about)? Are people who are more attracted to red meat simply more genetically predisposed to cancers? It's so hard to untangle and correlation does not prove causation.

It's so hard to untangle I bet it's a lot easier if you know what you're supposed to come out with (if you ever want to see another grant!) and work backwards! ;-)

The whole time after you leave the womb, you are subject to attack from corroding substances from the air you breath to the food you consume to the beverages you indulge in.
I’m not sure what level of detail they go down to in this study, I’ll have to check it out later after a frankfurter or two, boiled .. not broiled. . :-)
