Now Greta and Mr.Greta are about to experience what happens to anyone who doesn't trash the Palin's immediately upon meeting them.

Btw, I love how these things get started, a guy at the Washington Post says he heard from a friend of a friend, (all anonymous of course) that Coale is Palin's top advisor and everyone just repeats that story without verification.

So, she hires an expert in PR, but the haters have to make a big deal out of the fact he is a $cientologist? Should she hire someone less qualified instead? What does his $cientology have to do with his work in PR?

Same old Leftist technique. Divide and let us conquer ourselves. Attack the the stronger candidate of the GOP with an appeal to the Christian right. You can’t blame them though, it worked on Romney and gave us McCain.

Palin, with her wild-eyed confidence and preposterously healthy skin, already seems vaguely Scientological...

Of course, she's just too good looking for her detractors to handle.

Scientologists, by and large, are fairly conservative people. A lot of us read here every day. Articles like this one demonstrate a degree of persecution, misconception, and religious bigotry not even leveled at radical Islam, in a lot of cases. I tell you, it really gets tiresome.

Given that Scientology is an amazingly successful scam, despite being so stupid its hard to believe, I’d say they have very good P.R. skills.

An alternate attention grabbing headline could be:

Wow. This is so much BS. Coale was on McCain's campaign staff. In fact, Coale filmed a video disawoving his membership in the DNC and open support of McCain.

More astroturf from Axelrod?

Sarah Palin is seeking the advice of a Scientologist as she plots her 2012 presidential run

This would be a legitimate story is she were asking for advice on religious matters, but she's seeking political counsel.

The media continues to trash Palin with innuendos and false suggestions. No big suprise there.

Greta defends husband’s Palin role

Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren, who did a series of friendly interviews with Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband, responded today on her blog to Chris Cillizza’s report that Van Susteren’s husband, John Coale, is a key Palin advisor who is “helping to run Sarah PAC.”

Van Susteren writes:

I am getting lots of inquires about my husband John Coale — no, he is not a paid adviser to Governor Palin and never has been. And no, he does not want a job with her or with the other women he has helped.

Yes, he has given Governor Palin advice and helped her. He met her through me when I interviewed her….I did not meet her through him. I have gotten interviews with her not through him but through our staff on OTR. It is that simple.

Yes, it has some people all obsessed and spreading rumors — it is no doubt the enemies of the people who got so upset when my husband has helped Speaker Pelosi and Secretary Clinton and spread the opposite rumors. Some people get so bent out of shape by what they imagine. Go figure.
