Operation Rescue and other groups invite Christians to Wichita for prayer during the trial of late-term abortionist George Tiller.
WICHITA, Kansas, March 15 /
Christian Newswire/ --On the eve of jury selection for Tiller's criminal trial, Operation Rescue has released a new video with more information about a young woman who was hospitalized on Thursday due to a botched abortion at George Tiller's infamous abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas.
"This video shows the need to convict Tiller and get him out of business. He and his staff present an extreme danger to the public," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman who photographed the ambulance at the hospital emergency room. "We urge Christians everywhere to join us in praying that Tiller will be convicted and his abortion mill will be permanently closed."
Operation Rescue, the Christian Defense Coalition, and other pro-life groups will muster in Wichita for prayer that justice will be served during the court proceedings. Tiller his been charges with 19 counts of illegally aborting viable babies without the concurring opinion of an unaffiliated Kansas physician.
Schedule for prayer events:
Morning prayer outside the Sedgwick County Courthouse located at the corner of Central Ave. and Main St. each day at 8:00 AM beginning on Monday, March 16.
Evening prayer and praise daily at Cornerstone Fellowship, 3520 N. Arkansas Ave. in Wichita at 7:00 PM.
This schedule will be maintained throughout the trial, subject to change as circumstances arise.
Operation Rescue is one of the leading pro-life Christian activist organizations in the nation. Operation Rescue recently made headlines when it bought and closed an abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas and has become the voice of the pro-life activist movement in America. Its activities are on the cutting edge of the abortion issue, taking direct action to restore legal personhood to the pre-born and stop abortion in obedience to biblical mandates.

I admire your efforts with this post.
I want very badly for Tiller to be convicted. When Tiller hauled ME off to jail it made national news. When I won my appeal, it barely got published at all, in the local paper.
Having said that, I remind all prolifers of this:
George Tiller is being prosecuted due to a law that was signed by our late, Democrat Governor Joan Finney.
Governor Finney was attacked, at the time she SIGNED that law, as a TRAITOR by Operation Rescue, Right to Life of Kansas, and the American Life Lobby.
Kansans for Life and the National Right to Life Committee supported this law, which was written in large part by prolife hero Phil Kline, while Kline was in the legislature.
The reason for the split, in prolife ranks?
National Right to Life Committee and Kansans for Life are practical, competent legislative and political organizations which realize that the abortion issue MUST be treated like any other political issue:
Do what you can to advance the cause.
Do NOT make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Save SOME of the babies, when it is NOT POSSIBLE to save ALL of the babies!
The “no compromise, no exceptions” (NO PROGRESS) crowd attacked those of us who helped to get this law passed.
To the prolife radicals, late term abortion restrictions are a “compromise” because they don't “save all the babies”!
It would be nice to hear some of the Operation Rescue, RTLK and ALL types admit that they were wrong about the law we are now using to prosecute George Tiller.
There is a REASON why Tiller must operate in Kansas, and no other state:
New York, Massachusetts and other “liberal” states have much stricter limits on late term abortion, than Kansas, and the “no compromise” prolifers, in Kansas, resist late term restrictions, in Kansas!
There is a reason why Wichita is the abortion capital of the USA.
If we can convict Tiller, even under these misdemeanor laws, perhaps prolifers can unite on some other late term restrictions and prohibitions? Again, I hope and pray for the conviction of George Tiller. His malpractice insurance premium will go through the roof, I am guessing, if we can pull this off!

[Tiller his been charges with 19 counts of illegally aborting viable babies without the concurring opinion of an unaffiliated Kansas physician.]
Why is this a misdemeanor and not felony premeditated murder? It makes no sense.

And that’s EXACTLY why the moniker, “Tiller the Killer” was always so fitting!
He IS a monster.

And I’d like to remind people from outside Kansas that Tiller’s proceeds from these abortions is what launched and maintained Kathleen Sebelius’ political career. When Finney was governor, Sebelius treated her dreadfully. Finney died several years ago. She was a very kind woman who wouldn’t enjoy revenge. But the rest of us do.

Do you suppose Mr. Tiller is trying to be the nr. one most prolific hands-on killer of individual human beings in history?

If I were to refer to this monster as an A**hole, I would be doing an injustice to real A**holes around the world.
He and his "Nurse" should be on the top of the FBI 10 most wanted list.
