WASHINGTON -- President Obama is embracing a mantle of confidence-builder in chief. Whether he is meeting with his own economic advisers or worried business leaders, his message is meant to be calm and reassuring -- even in the wake of more bad economic news.

STOP THE MADNESS! Mr. Obozo, hopey-changey runs around the country telling everyone we’re broke, it’s a crisis, it’s not my fault....and the media drop trou and bend over...
Unfreakin’ believable...
The problem is, it is a role—a performance. It doesn’t ring true because we know he really is bursting to say “This isn’t my fault” and “Bush did it” and “It’s my father’s generation that’s to blame for all our woes.”
He is startling in his insincerity when called on to praise this country or act hopeful.
As I keep posting to drive the point..
Obama says Its BUSHS fault,... I inherited this mess, yada yada yada. Pointing the finger every where else for the issues as hand.
Just remember when he tries to blame others, HE VOTED FOR THE TARP when he was a Senator!

By his TARP vote, he OWNS this mess!!!! He should have voted PRESENT so it would not come back and haunt him.
Good cop, bad cop tactic. You’re doin’ it wrong, Mr. Obama.
I guess he must have been reading his reviews. A few weeks ago he was the confidence breaker.
Did anybody else find it odd that all of a sudden we have three or four business leaders saying their company is not in as bad a situation, or doesn’t need bailout money (Citi, GM, GE.)
Three possibilities exist:
1. They are not in as bad a situation as was originally laid out...they overreacted.
2. They are in as bad a situation, but since their stock prices were headed toward zero needed some positive news, so they made these pronouncements and their stock prices have risen.
3. The money they received from the government really did turn things around in that short of a time.
I personally vote for the effort to raise stock prices, so they are “misrepresenting” the good news...GE has done this before, and I don’t believe a word the CEO of Citi has to say.
Anyhoo....time will tell.
IF the people in the States think even for one second this guy can even find his way out of a paper bag..............Ah fegit it!
Does he have his telepromoter handy?
Obama is insane and totally insensitive.
excerpt:
“I’ve never bought into these Malthusian, woe, Chicken Little, the earth is falling. I tend to be pretty optimistic,” said Obama, once a long-shot candidate for the White House. “I wouldn’t be here if I weren’t pretty optimistic.”
The president boldly declared that the national crisis is “not as bad as we think” and that he has seen public opinion seesaw without logic.
“A smidgen of good news and suddenly everything is doing great. A little bit of bad news and ‘Ooohh, we’re down on the dumps,”’ he said. “And I am obviously an object of this constantly varying assessment.”
Obama disagreed with the choices.
“I don’t think things are ever as good as they say, or ever as bad as they say,” he added. “Things two years ago were not as good as we thought because there were a lot of underlying weaknesses in the economy. They’re not as bad as we think they are now.”
...
Sen. Kent Conrad, chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, called the track of future deficits “unsustainable” and singled out Obama’s proposal for adding $634 billion in health care spending over the next 10 years.
(Oh, that doesn’t matter ... all is well.)
“For all the, you know, angst that’s been out there, you’ve got banking institutions that are still functioning and, lo and behold, making profits,” Obama said.
(Yes, they’re “functioning” but “profits”? What “profits” are you talking about? Citibank doesn’t represent all banks.)
...
“I am not choosing to address these additional challenges just because I feel like it, or because I’m a glutton for punishment,” Obama told the Business Roundtable, a group of top business executives. “I am doing so because they are fundamental to our economic growth and to ensuring that we don’t have more crises like this in the future.”
Obama is insane. We’ve become the “glutton for punishment”.
I suspected Fox News was just another wing of the Party Propaganda Ministry. Now I’m certain.
it’s an AP story
Pressure and Time reveal all things, if those companies are full of B$, it will become clear soon enough.
GM’s sales collapsed, yet they claim to be fine...okay..
The commies and the muzzies are all filled with confidence at their brother leader.

This is not going to go well, and not even the left-wing MSM can hide it anymore.

First impression upon reading the headline...
The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. The words of Churchill. The bust which 0bama sent back to England.
