“Take a valium, Debbie. “
Or at least switch to decaf. My God, you would think she is talking about war, poverty and death, not some movie.
You are absolutely insufferable. How dare you insult people who just happen to have different tastes than you. Who the hell made your opinion the be all/end all of opinions? Get off your moral high-horse and write about something you're familiar with, which from the looks of your articles, isn't much.I enjoyed Watchmen. I am not depraved. I am not a serial killer. I am not a violent person in any sense of the word. I have a good high-paying job (my screen name hints at what I do for a living), am well educated, and I don't PASS JUDGMENT on people who enjoy different hobbies.
I am spreading the word to all that I know that you are a pathetic hate-tank. A hack Ann Coulter wanna-be. At least Ann Coulter has some charisma and a sense of humor. You are a slimy, pathetic loser who seems to have so little self-esteem that you personally insult those with even the slightest difference of opinion.
You give Conservatives a bad name, you judgmental blow-hard. And yes, I made this personal, because YOU made it personal.

For a Cold War, a Blue Superhero (and Friends) (By A. O. SCOTT Published: March 6, 2009)
The sex may be laughable, but the violence is another matter. The infliction of pain is rendered in intimate and precise aural and visual detail, from the noise of cracking bones and the gushers of blood and saliva to the splattery deconstruction of entire bodies. But brutality is not merely part of Mr. Snyders repertory of effects; it is more like a cause, a principle, an ideology. And his commitment to violence brings into relief the shallow nihilism that has always lurked beneath the intellectual pretensions of Watchmen. The only action that makes sense in this world the only sure basis for ethics or politics, the only expression of love or loyalty or conviction is killing. And the dramatic conflict revealed, at long last, in the films climactic arguments is between a wholesale, idealistic approach to mass death and one that is more cynical and individualistic. This idea is sickening but also, finally, unpersuasive, because it is rooted in a view of human behavior that is fundamentally immature, self-pitying and sentimental. Perhaps there is some pleasure to be found in regressing into this belligerent, adolescent state of mind. But maybe its better to grow up.
Nikki Finke reported that it will have a gangbusters weekend, but a bit shy of what was expected. They were taling a $70 million opening weekend (or better), but Nikki has downgraded that projection to around $60 mil.
