After the fifth consecutive down day for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), commentators from unexpected corners of the political spectrum are starting to scratch their heads over the Obama's administration economic policy responses.
Take, for example, former Rep. Harold Ford, Jr., D-Tenn., now a commentator for arguably the most politically left-of-center network, MSNBC. On the network's March 3 airing of "Hardball," Ford said it's time for the Obama administration to get its act together. He said the analogy President Barack Obama and his press secretary Robert Gibbs used - that following the stock market was akin to following a tracking poll - was flawed.
"As one who's had to follow tracking polls, I can tell you, there is a difference," Ford said. "I understand where the president is going and trying to achieve with the comment. But when you have gyrations in a tracking poll, people are not losing vast amounts of wealth, which we see in the stock market day in and day out. As Jim knows, I happen to agree with Cramer's points - his larger thrust, the point he's trying to make to this administration."

Did I just hear Evan Bayh state that O should veto the budget bill?
``PING!
I hear Russ Feingold! Alert on Fox News.
You did.
Indianas Sen. Bayh calls on Obama to veto massive spending bill

It’s about time. People on both sides of the aisle need to speak out against the spending bill. The economy is in for a total collapse unless they reverse course. There are real solutions here.
He may have said it, but he doesn't mean it. I call BS.
I guess Gibbs will have another topic for today’s press conference.....
Chicago thugs!
"arguably"? Ok, what would somebody "argue" in opposition? PBS?
I know and respect Evan Bayh. If you knew how he governed this Indiana as a governor, you would understand why.
That said, he made a TERRIBLE MISTAKE this year, selling out his principles and those he represents for the chance to become Hillary’s VP.
I think he beginning to realize that, and what Obama’s destructive policies really mean for the people of Indiana.
TOTAL AND COMPLETE ECONOMIC DEVESTATION....
Ford is jealous. Imus had him pegged as America’s First Black Prez years before Obama showed up (out of nowhere).
Although I’d take Ford right now anyday. He’s a conservative next to this leninist.
I agree. And at least he has experience.
Veto his OWN BIll?
How does that work?
“Although Id take Ford right now anyday. Hes a conservative next to this leninist.”
I don’t know a lot about Ford, other than he always seems to be angry. That can’t wear well for a polititican?
Ford praised Kos, said they agreed on many points, was conciliatory, and said that he hoped to work with the Kos folks to promote their common agenda.
The Kos guy ripped into Ford, said he was wrong, said he was out of touch and ill-informed. His time was over. He should leave the stage. Kos didn't want to work with him. Kos was going for all the marbles.
That's also how Obama "reaches out and unites".
Adding to the list of Obamans with buyers remorse

Centrist Dems Start Rebelling on Obamas Spending Plans
Politico reports that 14 Dem senators (and Joe Lieberman, naturally) are meeting behind closed doors to discuss their discomfort with Obamas $3.55 trillion 2010 budget.

If Bayh’s against it why doesn’t he vote against it.
It would be difficult for Obama to “get it together” since he doesn’t know where “it” is.
He's also an American, actually born in America, something the leninist Obama IS NOT.
These guys don’t get it.
Obama puts no weight on what the market “says” because he KNOWS BETTER than it does.
You’re right... Ford is considered too conservative (LOL) for the KOS crowd.
Ford was a useful took in his ‘06 run for U.S. Senate against Corker, knowing a liberal had no shot in TN.
But once he lost, his “time was up.”
Rush is right. Bipartisanship to them (and Obama) is when a Republican gets rolled.
I saw Russ Feingold in a Fox News ALert also....
There’s another difference between tracking polls and the stock market. Tracking polls show what is happening now; the stock market predicts what will happen six to twelve months ahead.
He can’t, Congress has to override with a 2/3 vote.
The same way he excused his decision before when he said "I screwed up." That'll get him applause from his followers who want their president to be "human" and just as dumb as them.
Come to think of it, maybe Obama has planned to have the absurd budget proposed so at the last minute, he can step in and veto it - showing that he has "listened" to the public. That just might be his ploy...to get everyone up in arms, and then to come swooping down to save the country.
The market and many retirement accounts have lost more than 50% since last year, businesses are going belly up all over the landscape, millions are losing their jobs and Obama calls it a gyration.
Sen. Menendez (crook) of NJ says he will not vote for this bill. It has language tht would ease travel to Cuba.
So the dems are just saying NO. What are the repubs saying...other than McCain. Anyone have a list of repubs who have said NO?

It works VERY well for him, a masterstroke, IF he is able to convince the American People that he is doing so because what Congress hath brought for his signature is not what he hath wrought for their approval.
Unfortunately for him, he cannot play that card. If he throws Congress under the bus he is at best lame-duck done right there and then. Too many in Congress sold their very souls in addition to their constituents’ futures for tickets on the “0-Train.”
The potential presidency-destroying rift is there. Anyway you look at it, he has soooooooooo jumped the shark.
Add to this the swelling ranks of the unemployed.
Add to this the markets going into a power-dive every time he speaks.
Add to this the mess his SoS has made of Israel-US relations.
Add to this the “Iran help/missile shield offer ‘letter-what-letter?’” Russian debacle.
Add to this his snubbing of the British PM.
Add to this PM Brown's warning to 0 re. "protectionism."
Add to this the GOP accusing 0 of "cooking the books."
Add to this Carville’s statement of admission re. “targeting” Rush.
Add to this the resulting Limbaugh firestorm and call to debate.
And those are but a few among the many "0" headlines currently on Drudge's page
Yes; veto that bill, Mr. President. Your handlers would welcome the distraction.

Someone gave them niacin.
Good point.
