This would be a pick up. What is Tedesco like? Solid conservative? RINO? Somewhere in between?

It is super important Tedisco wins and hopefully by a big margin like that poll. When is the election in March? First week.

A big GOP win would scare a lot of blue dog Dems.

46% Tedisco to 34% for the Dem would be huge. A lot of blue dog or moderate desm might start falling out of love with the Kenyan-born marxist.

This race is super important.

Scott Murphy, a venture capital manager

Ha! The Donkeys are being hoisted on their own anti-capitalist, class-envy petard.

Tedisco has a record in the New York legislature. The area has been social-conservative Republican for some time until Kirsten Gillibrand picked it up from a retiring Republican.

This is New York, home to the Teddy Roosevelt “Progressive” Republicans. RINO is the best you are going to get.

Vulture capitalist Dem. Who in their right mind outside of the United States or in the USA would invest in Obama’s Amerifrica?

Banks make mortgage loans but the borrowers want liberal judges to re-write the terms.

ACORN wants to squat in homes to insure people who are not paying for them get to keep them.

Who would invest in a country like that?

He is destroying private property rights and a bunch of other things. If you do not have private property rights it is almost pointless.

A pickup from the Dems in a by election just over a month after The Messiah's ascension would be huge.

YES! Rudy has been one of the ones campaigning for the GOP. Laying the groundwork for a run for Governor perhaps?

Did you see the article where Bloomberg wants Rudy to run for Governor in the NY Post? Rudy is clobbering Patterson in both Quinnipiac and Siena polls.

Prediction: If the GOP wins this seat, nobody in the pompom media will claim it is a referendum on Obama or out-of-control spending or hit-em-til-it-hurts taxation. Let one Dem win in Mississippi and they can’t say it enough but let a Republican win a Democrat seat in New York and they will all just hit the snooze button and return to their worship of Obama.

I hope the GOP runs some ads showing how it was, mostly, DEMOCRAT CEO’s that caused the financial mess.
Also, lets show where Murphy is getting his money.
Probably some wall street stuff in there.

Folks, I have a securities license, but my industry is FULL of liberal Democrats. Not hard to understand, when you figure out how much money is in municipal bonds underwriting and treasury bill trading.

It is time to educate the public that Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Lehman Brothers, Countrywide, Bernie Maddoff, Standford Investments ETC WERE RUN BY DEMOCRATS, FOR DEMOCRATS (and were piggy banks for the Democrat Party!)

I was watching a mob documentary on the other night and they had young Rudy as U.S. attorney.

I got sick because even though he is a little RINOish he would have been much better than McCain and a trillion times better than the marxist from Kenya. we had some good guys in Fred, Paul and even Mitt compared to the Dem vermin.

This NY House seat huge.

I hope Rudy runs but i would take Patterson over Obama as POTUS in a heartbeat. Patterson is a lib Dem but is far less evil than Dear Leader.

To clarify - watching young Rudy I got sick because he is good man and would have been a pretty good POTUS. My sickness is seing Rudy not POTUS and the POS marxist destroying this country.

Rudy needs to win the governorship in 2010 and come into office with a 7-month ball-busting agenda to get NYS back in line and then announce a surprise run for the presidency late that summer.

Rudy is a good man. He and people working with him fixed NYC. He can do it.

I don't really know. I've heard he's conservative. The rats are supposed to be saying this about him according to the link. I hope he lives in the district. I'm in NYC.

As for Jim Tedisco, he's a hypocritical machine hack who has allowed taxes—especially property taxes—to soar over the years. And he voted for tax increases dozens of times over his 25-year career as a politician. For all his rhetoric about fighting on behalf of the taxpayer, Tedisco sure lives high on the public hog: he accepted salary increases even after voting against them. He used taxpayer funds to send mailings, while decrying high spending by government. He also lifted $21,000 from public wallets for oil and gas for his state car over the years, even though he lives about 20 minutes from the Capitol by car. (That house, incidentally, isn't in the district he seeks to represent). And despite his long tenure as a legislator, he's not taking a stand on some pieces of critical legislation pending before Congress.

New York's 20th congressional district Wiki... has a map.
