A group of liberal bloggers said it is teaming up with organized labor and MoveOn to form a political action committee that will seek to push the Democratic Party farther to the left.
Soliciting donations from their readers, the bloggers said they are planning to recruit liberal candidates for challenges against more centrist Democrats currently in Congress.
The formation of the group marks another step in the evolution of the blogosphere, which has proved effective at motivating party activists to give money and time to political campaigns, especially in local races.
But it also illuminates a deepening wrinkle for President Barack Obama, whose attempt to build a broad governing coalition often by tempering some of his more liberal previous positions has already angered some of his supporters on the left.
The new organization is in many ways the liberal equivalent of the Club for Growth, a conservative group that has financed primary challenges against Republicans it deems insufficiently dedicated to tax cuts and small government.
Organizers of the new group, to be called Accountability Now, said their intention is to enable Obama to seek more liberal policies without fear of losing support from the more conservative members of his party serving in Congress. But they did not rule out occasional friction with Obama, as well.
"We're going to be about targeting incumbents to make space for Obama to be more progressive," said Glen Greenwald, a liberal blogger with Salon who is part of the effort. "There may be other times when the Democratic Party, as led by Obama, is being unresponsive, so yeah, we have the potential to push back against that, as well."

I didn’t know that was possible but little surprises me anymore.
... then comes North Korea, then off the edge of the earth, (which quite possibly could be flat — we’ll never personally know, because none of us peasants will be able to afford to travel anymore anyway).
?
I stopped reading right here.

Okay, that headline looks like standard English, but it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
What could that be? Tax credits for abortions? Mandatory gay marriage? ACORN getting to vote for its own House of Representative member?
I believe that democrats are going to take a wait and see attitude. More and more are becoming disappointed with Obama. Their seeing their jobs going away, their stocks going away, their taxes going up, pork barrel spending running rampant and the list goes on and on. They don’t see anything coming their way.
Further to the left? He cannot go any further.
Any farther to the left and it will fall off the edge of the Earth.
Either that, or welcome to the North American Union, and all hail World Chairman $oro$.
Any more left and well be Cuba.

Don’t worry, we are almost there. Give him until mid summer
They blog we target practice........
Lefties are far better organized than the right and have better defined leadership. The right has no leadership. We are screwed.
Yeah, wait until those union workers lose their jobs to obama’s economy and their 401 (k)’s shrivel up to nothing. They might start looking around and finding themselves all alone. Some by then, may figure out that they have been had by the big self-interest groups.
Nah—Sodom and Gomorrah.
Ron Paul had an organization, he had internet bloggers and strong grassroots support. If the GOP would have listened to him they could have tapped into his support. I met many Paul supporters who were previously Obama supporters. The GOP is a joke when it comes to organizing, they are the redcoats to the Democrat’s colonists.
Any further to the left and they’ll flip all the way around to the right.

I see this is satire.
Politically, this is a good thing for us. The crazier and more radical the Democrats are, the sooner the public will reject them.
Ya know.....if you stop and think about it....who in our government do you trust? Really trust? The FBI, CIA, Senate, House, IRS, Military? I have great faith in our Military. It wouldn’t bother me a bit if they marched into Washington and ran them all out of office. Then start installing people that actually care about this country. It would be a mess for awhile but we could handle it.
Thank you... the one serious intelligent comment on this thread.
While the left is in full frontal assault mode, the right is busy cracking jokes and infighting over who is more conservative than the conservative next door....
ALL of them are more American than the leftist running over you!
Thank you for stepping up! It’s getting depressing to read comments from the right. They aren’t a bit serious about this battle for America. But the left sure is...
left??? please... they been hard-to-port since the 70's.
