Charlie Dent to homeland chief: Hugh Moore mules are not terrorists (Feds r idjuts)
Morning Call ^ | 2/25/2009 | Michael Duck and Josh Drobnyk

To most people, George and Hank are just mules that pull a canal boat. But to Transportation Security Administration officials, they're a matter of national security.

The people who dress up in 19th century garb and lead George and Hank along the Lehigh Canal towpath in Easton's Hugh Moore Park are now required, under federal law, to secure biometric Transportation Worker Identification Credentials from the TSA -- just like every other Coast Guard-certified boat operator.

And so far, despite efforts from U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent, TSA officials aren't budging on that requirement.

"It's probably a very good step for operators of vessels that are going into ports, but we're not going near anything that's security-sensitive," said Sarah Hays, the Hugh Moore operations director. "If we don't need to have access to ports or military bases or anything, why would we need the cards?"

One note: Charlie Dent is a stand up guy who was against the bailout.....and for common sense.

Here too.

Stubborn as a mule perhaps?

“Stubborn as a mule perhaps?”

Let’s not saddle mules with such a nasty reputation as that ... ;)

Under an Obama administration, mules in canal parks receive harsher treatment than prisoners at gitmo.

Sadly, that is no joke.

This reminds me a bit of the nearby national seashore giving my 65 year old mom a hard time trying to get onto the beach because her season pass was so scratched up, while 1000 miles to the south, millions of Mexicans stream across the border.

Priorities.

Ah, the lovely Maritime Transportation Security Act.

It’s going to shut down our harbor in Pago Pago. All ‘cause we’re a bunch of ninnies and can’t be proactive regarding security.

We have to rely on Homeland Security to show everyone that our ports are secure... Even though one individual can “escort” up to five people. No one has explained to me, however, what happens when those five people go in five different directions..

Watch out. The gubbmit might take your statement as a dare.....one they can meet with surprising ease.

"Ramming speed, George and Hank; ramming speed" Carmen called out in her wonderful southern accent. "Too late to stop me now," she thought as she saw the small boat a scant 50 yards ahead on the lazy river. "I've got them! Allah Akbar!"

Sue Francisco looked on in horror, knowing there was nothing she could do to stop Carmen. "If only my brother Sam were here," Sue exclaimed.

Sometimes you have to smack them upside the head with a 2 X 4 to get their attention. And I’m not talking about the mules.

As You can see in the picture clearly, George and Hank are NOT Hazardous Weapons, nor are They about to travel much further than the couple of hundred yards of towpath in the Hugh Moore Park! :-)

Dent was one of 16 House republicans who voted for the omnibus spending bill yesterday.

He’s my Congressman and he’s the quintessential RINO.

True. But I think we can saddle the affiliation of the party in office. After all, what's their mascot...?

Its becoming more and more apparent that the only way to stop the massive, industrial strength governmental idiocy we see at all levels is to cut off their money and credit and put them out of business.

The Senate has declared itself the new Royalty, SCOTUS sits high on Mt. Olympus, while Obama Christ Superstar runs around reinventing the Soviet Union and stealing our money our freedom and our heritage.

If only we could repeal the 16th Amendment!

Remember the story about Bill Clinton when he first got into office and he was told that there are 100,000 +++ cattle guards in the werstern states, and he declared that they would all get free government ‘retraining’ for new jobs???

Dumb and Dumber=== Clinton and NObama.
