I was the only bike to leave from Marshall, IL at 5:00 when it was dark and in the mid 20s. However, we had other PGR members and the soldiers family in the convoy. Following behind an Illinois State Trooper with lights flashing in total darkness was not a good experience. At the Indiana line we picked up two more bikes and another PGR escort vehicle.
When the Indiana State Police took over we moved to the passing lane and proceeded to cross Indiana at 77 mph according to my GPS. On the other side of Indianapolis we made a stop and were met by 15 to 20 other Indiana riders who were standing along the road and saluted our fallen hero.
When we started again all the bikes joined in and we proceeded to Richmond, In where we stopped again and were met by a group of riders from Ohio. The Ohio riders took over the escort and I and another rider went with them as far as the welcome center in Ohio.
I had the honor of standing in the flag line with the author, Gerald, when we met the soldier at the airport. He has three videos with this article. The first you see with the link is of the incident just before the convoy reaches Lima, Oh. Another was taken when the soldier reached the funeral home when we came from the airport. The last one seems to have been taken just before we reached Indy as the sun was rising. You can see the three bikes ahead of his vehicle.
I am hopeful that some of you may be able to help us find the people responsible for this outrage.
Was Westboro Baptist Church protesting the funeral?
This is just reprehensible! I hope someone got the tag numbers of these cretins.
I will bet money it was Phelps and his nutbar gang.
I hope that we find this worthless POS! How insulting to this warrior’s family that someone would do this!
Sorry to hear about this....we wish the family peace and comfort in their grief. God knows all and justice will prevail...

Thank you, for the time, respect, caring and effort you give to this worthy cause.
May God Richly Bless You and your fellow riders of the Guard.
I saw a mother on the Anysoldier website who had lost her son and she was worried about Phelps because the funeral showed up on their picket list. Someone pointed out that there was a group of Patriot riders that she could call upon.
She did.
There is no doubt that the Riders made a difference for that funeral.
Outrage does not adequately describe what I feel about it.
This seems to be assault with at deadly weapon.
More peaceniks protesting the war with violence.
And I aint exaggerating.
Maybe but I don’t think so. It’s not the way they usually do things.
I saw Taking Chase last night on HBO. Excellent.
**The offenders should be caught, tried, and hanged.***
Since the offenders were from Kentucky how about a “Kentucky” hanging!
I have always heard of these hangings and Google did not show anything for them.
A “Kentucky” hanging is when you take the offender, strip him, set him on a stump, nail certain parts of his anatomy to the stump. then push him off backwards.
Another form is to set the stump on fire and give the offender a dull razor blade. Cut or burn!
God Bless the PGR and their mission.
It is a great shane to this country that we have citizens like this.
My prayers go out to this heros family.
My thanks to our fallen hero.
And thank you ghost riders for the service you are providing to the families of the fallen.
May GOD bless and keep everyone of you.
And deserves an appropriate response IMO.
