Since the offenders were from Kentucky how about a “Kentucky” hanging!
I have always heard of these hangings and Google did not show anything for them.
A “Kentucky” hanging is when you take the offender, strip him, set him on a stump, nail certain parts of his anatomy to the stump. then push him off backwards.
Another form is to set the stump on fire and give the offender a dull razor blade. Cut or burn!
Where I come from there is no stump involved. The act takes place on the roof of a building owned by the perp (barn, house, outhouse, &c.). You hand him an axe and then set the barn on fire!
