OAKLAND -- A 23-year-old visitor from the East Coast had just gotten money from an ATM when he told his friend on a cell phone that he had a bad feeling about two men approaching him at the Fruitvale BART Station in Oakland.

His worst fears were realized when one suspect, Victor Veliz, 18, held a folding knife with a 5-inch blade to his neck and the other, Christopher Gonzalez, 18, threatened to shoot him Thursday night, authorities said.

Looks to me as if someone already has.

But the dead perp was “a good boy”, hard working and all that crap.

Obama’s fault.

You want someone to pay for it, Dad? How about you for raising a miscreant douchebag for a child?

Yes, the MSM template calls for the line about how the dead man was “turning his life around”. Look for it in the Monday Comical.

The dead thug’s father offers the typical reaction:

“My son is dead. I want somebody to pay for this.”

He seems to not understand that his son already paid for this, he bought the ticket when he put a knife to the victim’s throat.

Arrgghh.

This is unreal:
Javier Gonzalez sobbed at the loss of his son, who worked with him in his roofing business and at Oakland Raiders games.

"I'm angry at both of them," he said of the robbery victim and Veliz. "They took my son away from me. He was a hard-working kid."

He added, "My son is dead. I want somebody to pay for this."

This guy is lucky he apparently cannot be charged with a crime. He's the one who should pay.

He added, "My son is dead. I want somebody to pay for this."<<<<<<<<<<<

Until he said that, I felt sorry for the Dad. His son was being a punk and got exactly what he deserved. If he was my son I would be absolutely heartbroken and wondering where I had failed. I sure would not be mad at the innocent victim who did exactly what he had a right to do.

I hate to hear of a death so young, but I love stories where the thug gets it in the end. Don't you just love the other guy getting a murder charge for the death of his friend. That's justice if the father thinks about it.

Only in America can the perps family expect justice in their behalf.

Hey, it’s all the white man’s fault, all those years of oppression have just made the minorities crazy. If we just give them all our money, they will be instantly rehabilitated.

Sounds like the victim had an extremely fast defensive reflex.

He had the adrenalin shakes afterward, but it saved his life.

No, there’s still a balance due: THE OTHER PERP who will almost certainly hook up with another criminal pal and do this again.

If I had robbed someone at that age my father would have beat me half to death with a 2X4, drug what was left of me to the cop shop himself and turned me in. My father had Honor and insisted that I live an honest and honorable life as well.
Like father like son. The father in this demonstrates his total lack of Honor or knowing right from wrong. In this case it is generational. He passed his ways on to his son and it got his son killed. I guess he wants us to believe that as long as his kid works hard in the day time he has free run to be a punk and criminal at night. The Oakland streets are a little safer tonight and I'm grateful for that.

I agree with you. If I had done that I would have raced my father to the police in hopes they would get me before he did. That’s probably why I never did any such thing. Dad was on the Job.
