Jimmy Carter’s former National Security Adviser expressed his concern about the possibility of riots on Morning Joe today. To stave them off, he proposes the creation of a voluntary National Solidarity Fund, whose contributors would be those who made out very well in recent times.

I think there will be riots and street fighting in the not too distant future. This is exactly what Obama wants. I think his mission is to desroy Capitalism.
Actually, there may well be riots. But not the people he thinks, and not for the reasons he thinks.
I’ve got the sinking feeling that there is a coordinated
attempt to destroy capitalism and started under Bush and continues full steam ahead under Obama. They want to set up a new world order like they did after the fall of communism in the Soviet Union. Say hello to the North American Union

You are correct. The Police state is expanding at an ever faster rate. Bush was part of the master plan. This is a planned depression and collapse. Remeber the NWO motto. Out of chaos comes order. The NWO that is.
Do I properly understand what this liberal fool is suggesting? Is he proposing that financially successful and prudent citizens fork over their money into a fund to pay off thugs who are would otherwise riot in the streets? Isn’t that the definition of a protection racket?
Real Americans are one day going to trade in their ‘words’ as a response to tyrannic rule and respond with something else.
This is where Obama’s Civilian National Security Force comes into play. Whew. So glad they have already thought of everything. Now we’ll all be safe. Who wont be willing to scarifice a little freedom for safety ?
They want this to happen because they think that it will trigger riots which will bring about socialism. The fly in the ointment is that they are in charge now, and everything that happens can be blamed on them. The protests and riots(if it comes to that) are likely to be directed at them. They are ideologues, and their ideology is founded on them being on the outside when it hits the fan. They can’t see that being in charge while they destroy the system will cause the backlash to be against them as the ones in power. Their ideology dictates that they must destroy the free market, so they will do it regardless of the circumstances.
I agree with Zbig Brzez-twit on one thing. There WILL be riots in the streets. The upside is, the riots and devastation will take place almost exclusively in liberal cities and enclaves. I suspect there will even be isolated acts of cannibalism a week or two after the food stores are all looted and burned to the ground. Result: fewer liberal voters.
Also, watch out for the immigrantification of the US Armed Forces. Remember, Obama wants to reduce the military by at least 10% (I'm seeing "political persuasion" as a factor in deciding who gets cashiered), AND he has floated the idea of giving citizenship to foreign nationals who serve in the military, after six months. Can't think of a better way to build up a force which could care less about American values and the Constitution, and which will be beholden to Obama more or less personally.
You and Red South are both correct, I suspect. But if so, I would like to see the forces of the Left move even faster than they are. As another leftist famously said, “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.”
The US military probably will not back them in domestic oppression right now, and probably not for a few years. ACORN has not completely morphed into the armed Brown Shirts they will be when the Porkulust money gets to them, but that will take 6 months or a year to arm and train their storm troops.
So, if we can have the riots soon, we may still be able to quell them and turn the country in the right direction. The worst case is for ACORN to arm and train for a year and a half and then instigate riots when the 2010 mid-term elections don’t go to their liking.
They will be ready by then, or at least ready enough, especially if they can start disarming the populace by then. Watch for regististration of existing and sale bans on new “assault weapons” and weapons with “no sporting purpose” as defined by them. In their minds, they don’t want citizens owning useful weapons, but more important is the registration.
A lot of folks who have recently acquired military weapons did so just for this kind of trouble. Registration tells the Brown Shirts who their opponents are, with names, addresses and weapon strength. If registration turns up in Congress or in an Executive Order in the next six months, you can bank on “riots” in 2010. Just my opinion, I haven’t bought any “assault weapons.”
We had a reprieve of a few years, because Al Gore would have had us there in 2004...yes, we can is a slogan as to how they will push the NWO on the US.
You are right, these folks have no clue about unintended consequences. They have no critical thinking ability or skills. They believe that they do things in a vacuum and that people will never push back. Just as elections have consequences so do actions.
Some years ago, there was an article posted to FR about the National Guard having “too many” white men as officers, and that some were being “encouraged to retire” to increase the percentage of minorities and women officers. IIRC, this was either in the very last year of the WJC regime, or the first year or two of GWB’s...It was quite awhile back. Many very angry replies on that thread-THAT I can recall clearly!

the boycott should start by listing on various conservative websites, those companies that donate to ACORN-that’s where our boycott should start.
