Gun lovers ain't gonna like it.
K.M.A.
Makes me wonder if they realize what they would have to be willing to do to make that happen. I don't think a paycheck is gonna inspire any gubbrmnt employee to go there.
It’s maddening that a piece of human trash like Bobby Rush can actually sit in Congress, and open his ignorant criminal mouth about what anyone in this country should or shouldn’t be allowed to do.
This is pretty much the law in Canada. Gun Violence is up obviously and the key phrase is (these are guns coming in from the US). The next step the Liberals are seeking is to ban handguns. Why they believe criminals who disobey laws will obey THIS law is beyond me
Let them pass any damn fool bill they please — I will not comply in ANY form or fashion.
You are ok with being turned into a criminal? If they don’t change the law you can do it without taking the back door...
"Should" is a big word. And such a bill should never even be considered either. The Heller case in DC--which explicitly recognized the 2nd Amendment to be a right of individuals--passed only by a 5/4 decision.
When/if Obama gets to appoint 3 new justices, the current balance of the high Court will change--and I can easily envisage having a reversal of Heller to be high on their agenda.

“A Gun Control Law Passed by the German Government One Day After Kristallnacht”
1573
Regulations Against Jews’ Possession of Weapons
11 November 1938
With a basis in §31 of the Weapons Law of 18 March 1938 (Reichsgesetzblatt I, p.265), Article III of the Law on the Reunification of Austria with Germany of 13 March 1938 (Reichsgesetzblatt I, p. 237), and §9 of the Führer and Chancellor’s decree on the administration of the Sudeten-German districts of 1 October 1938 (Reichsgesetzblatt I, p 1331) are the following ordered:
§1
Jews (§5 of the First Regulations of the German Citizenship Law of 14 November 1935, Reichsgesetzblatt I, p. 1333) are prohibited from acquiring, possessing, and carrying firearms and ammunition, as well as truncheons or stabbing weapons. Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority.
§2
Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew’s possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation.
§3
The Minister of the Interior may make exceptions to the Prohibition in §1 for Jews who are foreign nationals. He can entrust other authorities with this power.
§4
Whoever willfully or negligently violates the provisions of §1 will be punished with imprisonment and a fine. In especially severe cases of deliberate violations, the punishment is imprisonment in a penitentiary for up to five years.
§5
For the implementation of this regulation, the Minister of the Interior waives the necessary legal and administrative provisions.
§6
This regulation is valid in the state of Austria and in the Sudeten-German districts.

Below find Hitler’s praise for gun control laws:
“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country.”
—Adolf Hitler, dinner talk on April 11, 1942, quoted in Hitler’s Table Talk 1941-44: His Private Conversations, Second Edition (1973), Pg. 425-426. Translated by Norman Cameron and R. H. Stevens. Introduced and with a new preface by H. R. Trevor-Roper. The original German papers were known as Bormann-Vermerke.
Congressman Forbes,
I am asking you to vehemently oppose HR45, the "Blair Holts Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009", should it come up for a vote. It currently has no cosponsors, but should it gain momentum I and a majority of American gun owners want it squashed. We don't need any more government intervention in our lives and view the registration of weapons as a precursor to confiscation. I believe that should this piece of legislation become law then you would see civil disobedience on a national scale, and should it be enforced it could turn really ugly.
As before, I do appreciate your service in congress, and look forward to your continued representation of us in the 4th district.
Sincerest regards,
“Every Congressperson who votes for HR 45 (or any close facsimile thereof) should be forced to give up their Secret Service protection.
If we dont need guns, neither do they.”
Very well said.
Pitchforks, torches, tar, feathers, rope and a rail.
Taken to the Capital mall and publicly whipped to death
Its probably like that every weekend. Plus the IRS refund checks will soon start dribbling out. Even Hussein Øbama The Magnificent is trying to get the gun and ammo buying run to stop with public statements. That tells me the gun and ammo purchasing is hitting them exactly where it hurts.
I say keep buying till you are eating Ramen noodles. Plenty of time for dinner and a movie later.
I think the loop knot with the thirteen turns is more appropriate.
coming from a man who served time for illegal possession of firearms. bleh.
Actually, I think parts GCA '68 were basically just translated into English from the law you mention.

This bill appears to be getting some media attention now; I just saw a piece on it on the local news. We can be sure that the lickspittle leftmedia will be to be happy to promote any gun control legislation to come out of Obama & co.
The disposition of our property, including our personal arms is no business of the governments. I've never been in trouble with the law in my life, nor have I ever done harm to another person or their property. On the face of it, I would be what most would call "law abiding," and indeedd that's what I've always considered myself. Recent times seem to be changing that perception both to this government, and to myself.
One might say I wish to be selective about which laws I will obey. To that person I would reply that the Constitution, the true compact between this population and its government, has for some time been pretty selectively obeyed by our officials. Something is terribly wrong when I fear their displeasure, and they snigger at mine.
