Arenda Troutman is scheduled to be sentenced today in federal court following her guilty plea in August to mail and tax fraud. Troutman admitted that for several years she had solicited cash from developers to back their projects in her South Side ward.

It’s rather ironic to see all of these Democrats going down for tax fraud. I suspect the Pork Bill will fill the prisons with cheats and frauds.

Chicago Alderwoman Arenda Troutman, Another Corrupt Democrat
Former 20th Ward Chicago Alderwoman Andrea Troutman has agreed to plead guilty to a couple of the charges in the U.S. Attorney’s indictment.
Her plea agreement indicates that she admits to getting kickbacks of about $60,000. At least that’s the total that Sun-Times reporter Natasha Korecki added up. The government is seeking a fine of twice that amount, plus 3 years, ten months, to 4 years, eight months, in jail.....

Jail isn’t good enough. Make her pay restitution. Hit her where it hurts. Let her pay back every penny she took with interest. Is she eligible for a pension? Take it.
And I always thought Louisiana politics was the worst.
Chicago would be a great City if you rid it off all their politicians and start over.

Been there so many times. In fact, ran the Chicago Marathon in 06. Wouldn’t mind living there in the summer, but I prefer the south for the winter.
Chicago has a lot to offer, just wish they would clean up the politics and lower those democratic high taxes.
