Most Americans support President Obama's stimulus plan, yet conservative Democrats and Republicans got away with slashing key parts—billions for education, green jobs, and health care—in favor of tax cuts for the rich.1
Why? Because they think most voters will never know. So we're ready to run ads telling the public how key senators—both Republican and Democrat—voted on the stimulus bill. Can you pitch in $25 to launch this accountability campaign?

Politicians are used to lots of pressure before a vote, but they don't expect accountability after they vote. Their votes have life-or-death consequences for real people—and they should have consequences for lawmakers, too.
Think about it. Most voters will just hear the news headline: "Congress passed Obama's stimulus plan to create millions of jobs and rebuild the economy." Sounds great! But they'll never know if their own senator or representative voted to help them in tough economic times or not. The stimulus will be a huge help, but it could have helped even more if conservatives hadn't cut job-creating investments.
Elected officials count on this voter ignorance when they vote against the interests of the people they represent. But we can change that calculus.

I heard a radio ad this morning, encouraging voters to contact Jim Cooper(D,TN) to have him vote for it since he voted against it last time(thank you Jim). They claimed 80% of the American people are FOR porkulus. Wonder who they are surveying?

A bit ago, there was some Dem Governor (didn’t pay attention to his name) on Fox saying the same thing...
When the Fox interviewer (think it was Trace Gallagher) called him on it, he very smugly cited a poll from 5 days ago - before any of the details had been dragged out of the shadows...
I wouldn't at all be surprised if a slight majority of ALL Americans was so deluded.
Last poll I saw from a few days ago showed ~38% support, and the trend was downward.
They know what the truth is. They don’t want the American people to know what it is, so they lie accordingly. Tell the lies long enough that people will doubt themselves—and their neighbors. It’s their MO. Get used to it.

Remember Biden's remarks about the administration being 'tested', that they would have to do unpopular things? That they would need the support of the 'opinion makers' to ram these things through? This I'm afraid is part of the subject of that schpeil. As always, I'll consider all 'polls' by these snakes to be bogus.
Most Americans DO support porkulus. We’ve gone over the tipping point. We are now a socialist nation, having become so by democratic popular election. We are no longer a nation of (mostly) liberty and freedom. It’s over.
Down with Porkulus!! Moveon should move on to Cuba or somewhere else if they love socialism so much.
