Obama's Tax Rogues Gallery undermines that notion. It's hard to say what's more appalling: Obama's selection process - or what it says about the leadership class from which they've sprung.

Countless Americans will pay more and more for Obama's "share the wealth " ----that does NOT apply to his nominees.....Solis, Kellifer, Geithner and Daschle. BUT WAIT Obama's COS Rahm Emanuel apparently lives tax free in a magnificent Chicago mansion owned by "The Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule Charitable Foundation." According to the Cook County Assessor’s website, the Chicago home of four-term Democrat Congressman and new White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, doesn’t exist........there seems to be no public record of Emanuel ever paying property taxes on this home.
CONCLUSIONS Obama and his butt kicking COS, Rahm Emanuel, figured "we won" meant they could get away with murder, and appoint tax cheats and lobbyists---that America would kneel in obeisance.

God-Fearing Black church-goers who voted for Obama will be even more teed-off that this twerp Rahm Emanuel---a multi-millionaire----is not paying property (and other?) taxes---while Black families are struggling to survive. TIPOFF was when Obama went public to explain the screw-up---nominating tax-cheat Daschle. Obama was talking to his adoring supporters----they were expecting MUCH MUCH more from him than tarnished appointees---and 17 lobbyists who got jobs in his admin.
It was also surprising that Obama foolishly took on Rush Limbaugh----which highlighted "porkulus" and gave the Repubs a leg up---and the ability to define the boondoggle. That led to Obama's current problems getting porkulus passed---AMONG DEMOCRATS. Again, Obama's adoring supporters turned the tables on him. We need to start blast-mailing Black churchgoer groups to get the word out.

I’m sure there are plenty of additional skeletons-in-the-closet yet to be exposed from this “Do As I Say, Not As I Do” cadre of elitist thugs.

This is what needs attention. Bringing down Rahm would be magnificent.
Exactly the problem. Politicians should not be celebrities, but they now are and they think of themselves that way. They are supposed to be public servants. They are not the ‘best and brightest’ as they are too often characterized. Generally they are a group of people with huge egos and the ability to BS well. Often they are also good at being convincingly earnest when they are actually being dishonest. How many of them have special talents that they have demonstrated in the private sector? If they couldn't be career politicians, or work as ‘consultants’ to those who hope to use their connections and political influence, what would they do for a living? Too many are lawyers, but it's not clear whether many of them were even very good at that.
The answers are pretty straight forward: Very strict term limits; restrictions preventing any politically related consulting for 10 years after leaving office; the ability for public citizens to file lawsuits against politicians for lying publicly in the context of their official duties; the requirement that all those running for political office put on public file a document that clearly delineates their positions and intentions; very strict limits on what can be spent on state dinners etc; etc. The other component is that the media would have to stop treating politicians like celebrities. That's not something you can legislate, but is clearly important.
The result would be that only those who truly want to serve would be attracted to public office, the way it's supposed to be. One of the most important characteristics of a good public servant is humility. How often does that word come to mind when thinking about our current crop of politicians?
Leadership class? More like they’ve sprung from the same sewer as the Carter administration and the Clinton administration.
These people are America hating lefts. The msm is wholly owned and operated by people of this same ilk.

It does not need to be coordinated and somehow I don’t picture Rush and O getting in the room to do so. The fact is, there is an inherent marriage of convenience that works on both sides of this relationship. Both are very good for the other and I’d be astonished if both hadn’t figured this out even if they haven’t taken the next logical step of orchestrating their behavior.
The Congress should be audited by the IRS. Every fat, lazy, chip-eating punk. {I like that line}. You can bet I will be double checking every deduction this year. I won’t miss a single one.
It appears that Rod Blagojevich is the only person Obama knows that paid his taxes.

Leadership class? That, sir, is the problem. The Obamaloons have no class and there is absolutely no leadership there. Were I African American, I’d be very very ashamed of what whitey has provided for the first AA president.

Where I live, you can request to have your property removed from the public website. Only an in-person visit to the county court house would yield any information. Perhaps Cook County is the same.
And since the house has been placed in a trust, it is the trustee that pays the taxes, not the beneficiary - the would be no record of RE paying the taxes directly.
Even more interesting would be their cellphone, emails and fax records since the news broke.
