You don’t understand. This is harassment of conservative journalists. This is akin to the Russian government harassing (or killing) liberal journalists.

That link leads to many, many other bizarre TV “journalism” moments.

They’re like train wrecks. I cannot look away.

Sure, the media has to give him all that free time. It’s going to hit them hard financially. Wonder how long he will be the golden boy then.

Good! The reporter wanted obama. Now he has him. As far as I am concerned he can go cry on somebody’s shoulder that cares. I don’t.

I will say that they should have taken him out back and worked him over good.

Thanks for the ping. (From one unappreciated journalist to the other.)

Truth be told, I'm in a bit of a funk right now. As I said earlier, I was involved in a long thread earlier today that put me in the position of defending social conservatism against an armada of drug-legalization Libertarians. I failed, at least in my mind. And that bothers me a lot. But not personally. I've failed in many things in my life, but I like to entertain the thought that I've learned from my failures and have improved as a person. This bother me because I feel that I've failed to defend social conservatism in the way that it deserves.

My wife is a devout Christian and I feel that I've let her down. I told her about it, and sweet thing that she is, she filled me with nothing but encouragement and support. I'm lucky to have a wonderfully supportive spouse like her.

As the Republicans became galvanized by their defeat in November, I too am newly recharged. I made some mistakes in my defense of social conservatism and traditional ethicism, but I'll try not to again. Social conservatism (and classical ethicism) deserve a vigorous defense, and I wasn't up to the task today. I won't let that happen again.

But that's the wonderful thing about Free Republic, isn't it? It not only sharpens your intellect and hones your debating skills, but it resets your priorities to where they should be.

I'm calling it quits for the night, but I do respect and would like to hear your thoughts on this topic.

I'll be FReeping tomorrow and Sunday. Feel free to drop me a ping! Regards, Flycatcher

And so it begins. Actually it began when 0bama grabbed the reporter’s shoulder and raised his voice and told him no questions.

That was a very telling video.

The jackal is an evil man and his cohorts feel emboldened. I’m sure he can’t wait to get his civilian defense force on line.

How about massive tax revolt.

I’m a journalist and if a journalist is polite and not in the way, then no one should manhandle him/her. They can ask for them to move away for safety considerations, but they cannot assault them regardless of who they are.

If this is a CIA guard or Secret Service guard, then they should review their procedures or at least make it clear to journalists what the rules are regarding walking interviews.

Lawsuits are also one way of resolving this. Any lawyer get the guts to take on Obama and his Chicago thugs?

Thought not.

'S ok. Wall Street is thumping on 'journalists' in a bulk purchase sort of way.

Gotta suck to be employed by a paper these days. Spec stuff is gotta be WAY harder to sell.

What I don’t understand is...

There were numerous issues with Obama re: press from Chicago, to the straying next to Somaliland/Wajir to visit his brother (they were told they couldn’t go on that leg), the stiffing of the black and gay press in CA and through a lot of the election, dictating with the Soros octopus (think progress, others), what they can and cannot say via direct or talking points, the jettison of reporters travelling with him who displeased him with a column, the treatment and location at rallies, the slamming when reminded of his own flips, the editors requesting scrubs and editing of past and present articles for Obama’s sake, being told not to investigate or you can’t do that column.

I’ve caught a few articles along the way which (surprise), were not reported. I never thought, even with this liberal MSM, they would take this treatment re: free speech. Why even go to J school? If only one would do their job and find a way to get it all out, they would be the savior of the republic. Because there is no way Obama should be there... trust me.

-By the time the media realized it worked for Fidel, it was too late.

Case in point. The pay for plays with Pritzer (savings and loan failure queen), and others who gave to his campaign and sat on his finance board... come on.

The money drop stopped in Kenya and Nigeria, the foreign donations and why the FEC still refuses to investigate them.

The total lack of documentation on him... period.

The one-per-day unconstitutional actions (from a ‘constitutional lawyer’).

The obvious pay to play and scum he’s involved with (past and present, not to mention his view of transparency, cough).

The media hasn’t found their courage, Americans must find their will.

Doesn’t that clown know he’s hurting the economy by doing it?

Oh, my bad, not his concern... it’s what he wants.
