COUPLES who have more than two children are being “irresponsible” by creating an unbearable burden on the environment, the government’s green adviser has warned.
Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the government’s Sustainable Development Commission, says curbing population growth through contraception and abortion must be at the heart of policies to fight global warming. He says political leaders and green campaigners should stop dodging the issue of environmental harm caused by an expanding population.
A report by the commission, to be published next month, will say that governments must reduce population growth through better family planning.

Does this mean that couples that have no children, or only one child will be able to sell child credits to another couple who want to have more than two?
I actually pause to see what country is contemplating such stupid policies... in the past I could safely assume it was some suicidal european country...

Should I kill the youngest ones, the oldest ones, or take them all to a eugenics doctor to get a medical opinion on which of my excess CO2 generators should be terminated?"
I wonder what the author would recommend for your excess children and for mine. I wonder who would support civilization if responsible people like us didn't raise responsible children with a work ethic and traditional values. Damn. My entire family has been irresponsible in having children except my brother and his wife who only have one so far but are not done. Whoever wants to limit the number of children is nuts.

Global warming is the perfect issue for these people. It is at once: ill-defined, unprovable, frightening, beyond the realm of current science (religious), expensive, and global in scale. Morphine global warming to “climate change” only exacerbates these characteristics. As a result, it gives these guys a blank check justification to grab authority and push any agenda, no matter how nutty, in the name of saving the planet. This is rubbish. Population growth is way more complex than this - for a start its not simply a question of how many children you have, but when you have them. A woman who has two children at age 20 contributes FAR more to the growth of population than a woman who has three at age 30.
The wife and I only have 4 but I have a feeling God has more planned for us.
Thats what I tell anybody who says there are to many people if it is such a good idea they should start with themselfs.
