Tonight, we are a country awakened to danger and called to defend freedom. Our grief has turned to anger and anger to resolution. Whether we bring our enemies to justice or bring justice to our enemies, justice will be done.

Aericans have known surprise attacks, but never before on thousands of civilians. All of this was brought upon us in a single day, and night fell on a different world, a world where freedom itself is under attack.

The terrorists' directive commands them to kill Christians and Jews, to kill all Americans and make no distinctions among military and civilians, including women and children.

There are thousands of these terrorists in more than 60 countries.

The enemy of America is not our many Muslim friends. It is not our many Arab friends. Our enemy is a radical network of terrorists and every government that supports them.

Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there.

It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated.

We will direct every resource at our command -- every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war -- to the destruction and to the defeat of the global terror network.

Our response involves far more than instant retaliation and isolated strikes. Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign unlike any other we have ever seen. It may include dramatic strikes visible on TV and covert operations secret even in success.

And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation in every region now has a decision to make: Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists.

Note the resolve and still making the distinction between the terrorists and peaceful Muslims.

Note Obama's interview, where he intimates that making that distinction is Obama's invention and a departure from the Bush administration. Also note the LACK of resolve in Obama's interview to defeat the terrorists.

Iran even now is continuing to support terrorists and Obama wants to sit down and talk to them...

Thank You! I have been thinking about this speech all week.

Our nation, this generation, will lift the dark threat of violence from our people and our future. We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail. (APPLAUSE) It is my hope that in the months and years ahead life will return almost to normal. We'll go back to our lives and routines and that is good. Even grief recedes with time and grace.

Thank You GW Bush, for keeping your promises. You ARE missed already.

Agreed

Also, I gotta say that when I voted for W in 2004, one of the main reasons was that I was sure he’d end Iran’s nuclear program and that Kerry wouldn’t lift a finger. Now, it’s 5 yrs later, and he didn’t do a thing to go after Iran’s nukes.

If he had taken them out and Obama won, it wouldn’t be so bad, but now we have Obama and we know he won’t do anything.

Hopefully, sometime soon the story will come out as to why Bush stood down with regards to Iran

GMTA. The difference is glaringly and scarily obvious between Presidents Bush and Obama.

What Obama Means to The Enemy

Neither were the fellow travelers of the aforementioned lowest rung of the human ladder in Europe, those in the offices of the ACLU and the Democratic Party fond of our late president. This is well understood. But what does the ascension of Barack Hussein Obama mean to them? More importantly, what will what it means to them mean for us?

In other words, Obama’s plan to treat terrorism in the same way we’d treat bank robbery or jaywalking is not an effective means of truly stopping terrorism.

And this gets us back to what Muslims seem to expect of an Obama administration and what, at least at this point, it seems he is poised to give them. And that would be a far, far less strenuous focus on stopping Islamofascist terror. They certainly expect him to give their desires, ideals and policies a wink and a nod and a friendly ear.

This will surely put America in danger.

I think Bush fully intended to take out the nukes of Iran and effect a regime change there. I think the reason he didn’t is because all the domestic attacks on him over Iraq made it impossible for him to do it. You can blame all the “anti-war” Dems, who don’t understand that with some enemy, war IS the answer, the only answer.

Either the international oil cartels or his Arab buddies told him not to do it. Remember the shot of him walking with his little finger wrapped around some Sauid Sheik’s?

Or Barda Bush?

The Bushes and Clintons are two separate faces of the specter of world globalism - BOTH wrong for different reasons. And they have LOTS of pals in COngress in BOTH parties.

When it comes to Mohammedans, they BOTH clueless.

Why should that make me happY/

WE had three bad Presidents in a row and the guys running against them were equally bad or worse. Now we are 4-0 with Obama, having had an only SLIGHTLY less palatable alternative as an option.

I think “campaign finance reform” is a failure. It has established a climate were only higly affluent medicorities can afford to run for President and Congress isn’t much better - and often a lot worse.
