And I had mentioned, I think, closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent would be something that would be permitted under Heller, and I also think would be good for my law enforcement perspective.

Note the way they say that the second amendment "GIVES" people their rights. The bill of rights serves to secure our God-given rights from the power of the government. The government doesn't give us any rights.

Yet that is the way the new administration perceives rights. They are something given by the government.

Maybe they will ban Child Abuse detachable magazines too!

I would venture to say if one of these bullets did kill an Officer, that bullet has a long history of being arrested and let go many times due a pathetically weak court and criminal corrections system. Its very rare a bullet starts murdering on its first offense, there is usually a long criminal record on these probated, paroled bullets. One common exception is the bullet is an illegal alien, but imagine those bullets will be protected by law.
The 94 semi automatic rifle and standard capacity magazine ban was called a "Crime Bill".
Unfortunately 80% of politicians and 51% of the voting public are stupid enough to go along with it. They will stand and cheer as we loose liberty to government control.

I sent an email to the White House asking for a clarification of the phrase "The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms." I also suggested a correction might be in order.

It will be interesting to read their reply as to what they believe the Second Amendment says and means.

When they say “cop killer bullets” they mean any bullet that can penetrate a vest. Just about any center-fire rifle round is powerful enough to penatrate a vest. So basically, they want to use the “cop killer bullet” angle to ban all rifles - including bolt-action rifles. Maybe they will allow you to own a single-shot .22 rifle but they would like to ban even that.

Lets see: Holer was involved in the Branch Davidian massacre, he took the lead on the Elian Gonzalez repatriation raid, he led the pardon team the freed FSLN terrorists (to help Hillary with the NY Puerto Rican vote), he approved the Marc Rich pardon.

My memory isn't as good as it used to be. Can other Freepers add to this? I think there is more.
