Massive dragnet sweeps up communications metadata, and financial records, while targets have all of their communications recorded

electronic communications (including phone) have been monitored by computer for more than 35 years . . . against a massive list of keywords . . . and not just in the USA but essentially the whole world—virtually regardless.
I’m partially convinced that for key addresses . . . machines could electronically scan sealed snail mail letters as well . . . and, as I gathered, unfold them etc. in the computer image of them . . . . I hypotesized according to the particles given off by ink when scanned with whatever other rays.
More than plausible, to me.
