Abortion Advocates Giddy About Obama Order Reversing Mexico City Policy

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Abortion advocates were able to check off one of the items on the 55-page memo they gave to President Barack Obama as marching orders for his administration. In comments after Obama ditched the Mexico City Policy, key pro-abortion groups were giddy with excitement.

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, whose abortion business stood to make millions from the decision, could hardly contain herself in an email to her supporters.

"I had no doubt it was going to happen, but I'm going to celebrate anyway. As one of his first official acts in office, President Obama has overturned the global gag rule," she said, referring to the derogative term for the policy and its limits on funding groups like hers that promotes and performs abortions.

"I'm sending our new president a message of thanks on behalf of ... those of us here in the U.S. who have been protesting the global gag rule since the day President Ronald Reagan first implemented it," Richards added.

Richards promised the abortion advocates that support her group that Obama is ready and willing to more to promote abortions.

"It's been a long eight years, and we have a lot more work to do to roll back President Bush's awful legacy," she claimed. "There is serious work to be done to rectify nearly a decade of bad policies, not just in the U.S. but around the world."

Next up Richards' pro-abortion agenda?

Sending taxpayer funds to the United Nations Population Fund, the agency that has worked hand in hand with the Chinese population control program that includes forced abortions and sterilizations.

"In the short term, we can keep moving in the right direction by restoring funding for UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund; removing abstinence-only requirements in HIV/AIDS funding; and increasing foreign assistance for reproductive health, including $1 billion for family planning" Richards said.

Richards also wants more money in the pockets of Planned Parenthood from the federal government and less money in the hands of groups that promote pro-life or abstinence values.

"Trust me, we're not going to let up," Richards promised her friends.

Nancy Keenan, the president of NARAL, also had good things to say about her pro-abortion president and his funding of pro-abortion groups with taxpayer money.

"Thirty-six years after Roe v. Wade became the law of the land, President Barack Obama took swift and decisive action today to end one of George Bush's worst policies," she said.

"Please join me now in thanking President Obama," she urged NARAL members.

Keenan said abortion advocates would have to work hard to counter the negative reactions Obama will receive from pro-life advocates.

"Unfortunately, anti-choice groups are bombarding the White House with messages and running vicious ads on TV and online that distort the truth," she claimed. "That's why after you've thanked our new president, we need your help to spread the word to your friends and family."

Like Richards, Keenan can't wait for future pro-abortion actions.

"We look forward to working with President Obama over the years as our ally," she said.

ONE MILLION BABIES A WEEK are slaughtered worldwide and the culture of death is delighted that Zero will use taxpayer money to pay for even more.

Yes, there are babies to slaughter!

Consider all of the children and adults who are adding their carbon footprints that shouldn't have been born!

I wonder if they will still be giddy after their foreign operatives get beheaded by those who violently disagree with abortion? I suspect such organizations will run into trouble abroad and that the original decree was, in some ways, a protective measure for them.

LOL, yeah, I bet they are VERY “giddy”!
All those millions of taxpayer dollars don’t just disappear into thin air - - they end up in somebody’s pocket. As always with Zero and his disgusting ilk, “follow the money”.

Millions of mostly non-white babies will be murdered using American dollars. How is that for racism?

And before any of the pro-abortion FRiberals try to rationalize this, NONE of the abortions will be performed on Muslims.

They won’t be so giddy once they are devoured by the flames in hell. Barack will have great conversation rounds with fellow massmurdering tyrants like Mao, Pol-Pot and Hitler.

Blame it on Bush. Why didn’t Clinton change it? He was there for 8 years. zer0 has this obsession with murdering babies. He doesn’t want anyone “punished with a baby”. He has some really messed up views on things.

Its the age of Obama!

Abortion on demand is not only a Constitutional right, its a right shared by all the worlds people. And Americans will pay for them.

To Rick Warren: this is Obama’s idea of leadership.

I want no part of it.

Ever since Thursday, my heart has been so heavy. One particular verse in Scripture is laying on my mind:

Matthew 25:32 - And before Him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them from one another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.

I know I will have much to repent for on my day of judgement, but I just can’t undersand how a person will stand before the Almighty and justify the support of mass infanticide.

Matter of factly Islam allows abortions up to a certain date ("when an angel breathes life into the fetus") and when the life of the mother is in danger.
