(Muslim) ‘Mini-Schengen’ Zone between Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro under Consideration

12 January 2009 | An idea to create a zone allowing the free movement across the borders of Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro is being considered in the region.

Kosovo and Albania have said they will sign an agreement for the creation of such a zone between themselves within two months. Currently, one can cross the border between the two countries by presenting a passport or driver’s licence.

“The agreement will enable citizens to move freely and ease the administrative procedures,” Albanian President Bamir Topi was quoted as saying by regional media, and he also dismissed the possibility of a union between Kosovo and Albania, saying that “the unification will happen in Brussels, in the European family.”

After the two states sign the agreement, their presidents plan to send it to other states in the Balkans as an example of trade liberalisation and integration on the way to the EU.

Macedonia is already considering the proposal of the presidents of Albania and Kosovo. “The idea for a visa-free regime sounds nice, it is attractive, but since it has just been introduced, we haven’t managed to look into it. We’ll have to ask the judicial experts in the Interior Ministry, to make sure there are no legal impediments,” Macedonia’s Vice-Interior Minister Zoran Petrov told the newspaper Vest.

In addition to a visa-free regime and travelling through the borders of the four countries without restrictions, the publication wrote that Topi and Kosovo’s president Fatmir Sejdiu propose as well a unified economic and external policy between the four, following the model of the Benelux countries.

Add to that Kosovo & Turkey signing a Visa-Free Travel Arrangement and there will be free movement of more Muslims in to the Balkans.

“We are having a historic visit in Kosovo, with which we have historic connections," (Turkish Foreign Minister Ali) Babacan said.

Yeah, a "historic connection" of Islamic conquest and persecution of Balkan Christians!

Is there some reason to believe that the Orthodox Christian governments of those countries are actually working in the interests of Islam?

"Is there some reason to believe that the Orthodox Christian governments of those countries are actually working in the interests of Islam?"

Yes.

Macedonia has a large, restive Albanian population which has tried on more than one occasion to overthrow the government and conquer the country.

Milo Djukanovic of Montenegro is a pimp -- a mafia don who owes Montenegro's "independence" to it's Albanian minority. He doesn't care about ordinary Montenegrins -- only about what fills his pockets, which is why he & his government recognized Kosovo independence. Just last year, Montenegro convicted 17 ethnic Albanians of trying to overthrow the government.

They are all trying to appease the Albanian Muslims, but it's not going to work.

I have to say that if the Croations, the Bosnians, the Albanians, the Kosovars, and the Macedonians are all crooked and not acting for their populations benefit, then there is a big problem in the Balkans. With the Bulgarians under excessive Russian influence, the Greeks being Muslimized, the Romanians isolated and week, the Serbs not trusted by any other powers on earth and the Turks becomming more islamicized by the minute, only drastic action will serve to settle this situation. My suggestion would be a modified form of the preliminary direction which was the direction that the Versailless Treaty Conference was coming to.

None of the nations I mentioned can be permitted to continue their existence, they are just too dangerous. Their mutual international boundaries must all be eliminated, and they should return the area to its last just government. The East Roman (Byzantine) Empire must be restored, under the legitimate Basileus, the descendants of the last Emperor of the Romanoi, the Romanovs.

Interesting solution, and one I would never have thought of.

Actually, I think that the EU and our State Department like the Balkans broken up into little, corrupt bite-sized chunks. What better a place to launder our tax dollars? What better a place for arms dealers and mercenaries to ply their trade than in Kosovo, occupied by 16,000 NATO troops?

Forgive me, but I really think that there is a concerted effort in the West to keep the Balkans corrupt and unstable, so that the situation can be exploited for profit.

Well bringing back at least the East Roman Empire has been my pet project ever since I heard that they almost did it at Versailles. After all Armenia was out of business for a longer time than the Byzantines, and it was brought back. It has the additional advantage of being a project which is understandable and does not actually exist at this time. That means we can start it, and we can run it. And the East Roman Empire has not a single active opponent now either. Also the Romanovs seem to be a classy group to hang out with. Maybe we could get observer status at the EU and the UN

Absolutely, it is!

Look at this way, it couldn't get anymore screwed up than it already is, so what the heck, give it a shot!

Yes, the Romanov's are pretty cool. I recall reading after the Russian Revolution, not only did many of the family come here to the US, they were actually proud of the fact that they worked at menial jobs like cleaning toilets, and made it back up the financial rungs of the social ladder.

Also probably got a distant cousin in that group somewhere, so maybe we could get good seats to the coronation! LOL!

I’m holding out for a Consulship, or at least a Senator’s seat.

The reconstitution of Byzantium is not so far fetched -—Just on a personal level I know many who would jump on that bandwagon.

“I’m holding out for a Consulship, or at least a Senator’s seat.”

As the only descendant of those who ruled the Eastern Roman Empire around here, its OK with me. I’ll even agree that the Romanovs can claim the title “Porphyrogenitus” but only so long as the Kessaroi are restored at Mistras and the family gets its little palace back!
