The right of self-defense is the basis of all individual and national freedoms, because if you can’t protect yourself, all other rights and freedoms become meaningless. Yet the right of self-defense has been increasingly diminished by liberalism, in favor of “grievance based violence”.
Grievance based violence is random and senselessly vicious. It most often targets civilians for brutal reprisals, and yet it remains beloved by liberals… because its participants are said to be moved by their outrage at oppression.
If you’ve seen an angry mob torching cars or businesses, and assaulting anyone in sight while looting stores-- you’ve seen the most common example of “grievance based violence”. This is the sort of violence that characterizes anything from the mobs of the French revolution to mobs across the Muslim world reacting to the Danish cartoons, to the Crown Heights pogrom or the original Russian pogroms or the mobs in South Africa to the Draft Riots of the Civil War.
The second most common example of “grievance based violence” is of course terrorism, which despite being more organized, is grievance based, randomly targeted and senselessly brutal-- while being justified by a sense of grievance and outrage.
Where self-defense is targeted and moral, “grievance based violence” is random in the sense that it lashes out at a general group, rather than acting in direct self-defense. “Grievance based violence” is also senselessly brutal, from the French mobs parading severed heads, to South Africa’s tire neckties, to the pogroms that saw nails gouged into eyes, to the general brutality of terrorist attacks which target civilians-- atrocity is the hallmark of grievance based violence.

I think all liberals have a secret desire to be required to wear burqas. Especially the non-female types.
Israel is America's ally and routinely beats up on her and America's enemies.
Therefore, Liberals hate Israel and love Israel's enemies.
Plus, most Liberals tend to be anti-semites and hate Jews on their own merits.
It seems simple, but in today's world, if someone breaks down your front door and tries to rape your wife and kill your kids you'll get prosecuted for a hate crime because you violated the attacker's civil rights when you called him a name before you shot him.

It is simply not natural for people to root for the terrorists - the bad guys.
They have just decided that anything their country is against, they support. Without exception.
I have met many Liberal Jews, so your argument is partially true and affirms the fact that Liberals are suicidal.

The entire article is worth reading. It is an exposition of the source of the seeming double standard on the part of "progressives," and I use that term advisedly. The idea is simply that revolutionary violence is justified, its propagators given unlimited moral sanction, and its victims without either the rights of redress or self-defense. This is not an exaggeration, and the doctrine's adherents are not amenable to reason.
They are, however, among the first against the wall in a real revolution. And revolutionary violence is controllable by the proverbial "whiff of grapeshot" but the fellow pulling the lanyard always has his own agenda.

There are no “liberals” any more. These people are progressives, code word for communists. Call them what they really are. They love islamists because fanatics are easier to convert to communists. Hitler noted in Mein Kampf that communists made the best nazis because they could easily migrate from one ideology to the other, they were the right personality type.
Much of the Leftists ability to pressure depends on the ability to threaten mob action. "Do this or you risk riots". "Do this or you will have a screaming mob ripping apart your building or home".
Screaming mobs run away at the threat of being fired upon, and both sides know it.
Communist, Socialist, Fascist, Marxist, Progressive..... on and on... the fact is the Leftists always have had to repackage themselves to cover up the Absolute Failure of their collectivist philosophy.
It's always been the same theory, but each time it FAILS, they need to describe it differently to sell it again.
There is a difference between Socialist and Communist,
Communism is where the Proletariat(the 'Workers') overthrown the Bourgeois(the 'Rich') in a glorious revolution that births a wonderful new 'workers paradise' – that turns into hell holes like the old Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba...
Socialism is where the Proletariat incrementally take over and create a wonderful workers paradise like France, Great Britain........ sign.. the US....
Fascism and Socialism are the same thing – Note the term 'NAZI' – translates to the National SOCIALIST Workers party
Each time the experiment is an UTTER Failure, and each time they have to name it something new in order to 'Give it a go'

FReepers need to let this sink in, then maybe they would realize why liberals are so committed to eliminating our individual 2nd Amendment rights.
