In this exclusive FOX News documentary, actor and activist Gary Sinise shares the "on the road" experiences he had last summer in Iraq while visiting American troops.
Some 25 hours of his adventure was captured verite style with a handheld camera. Sinise does his best to meet his goal of what he says is "5000 handshakes, 2000 miles in seven days."
The personal footage captures heartfelt meetings between Sinise and the troops in Kuwait and the Iraqi cities of Al Qaim, Al Asad, Ramadi and Baghdad.

God Bless Gary Sinese.
Again.
Gary Sinise is a true patriot. God bless this good man.
Already have it set to record.
Gary Sinise FTW!!!
I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Sinise and he was extremely cordial and down to earth.
He’s the anti-Hollywood.
On the evening of 9/11, my wife remarked ‘Its a time for hero’s’.
Gary Sinese is one of them.
So true ... he’s an inspiration, sure.
BUMP to that!
Thanks for posting and the heads up.
~~Great American .. PING!
I would not miss this for the world.
I have become a big fan of Sinise’s CSI:NY. It is a great show, and I want to support a show with a true American.
Was he Capt. Dan from Forest Gump?
he was Lt. Dan..
And he played the part very well.
Gary is truly a fine, fine man! A wonderful human being!
BTTT
Gary Sinise is my hero.
If half of the Hollywood crowd were half as kind as he is I would actually start going to the movies again. As it is I’m cool with watching him every Wednesday night and I won’t miss his special this weekend.

Thanks for Lt. Dan -- Det. Mac Taylor -- et. al !!!
Who-rah Gary!
He seems like a great guy. Please tell your daughter we are thankful for her service to our country!
Thanks for your daughter and your sacrifices.
Gary Sinise - One of the Lions for Our Side...

God bless her for her service
(and you and your family, too).

This is GREAT so far!
“
On the teevee - right now!

And I was lucky enough to stumble onto the “Lt. Dan” road-show.
Because I just had to hear Huckabee interview Ann Coulter and
Jerry Springer.
(Not at the same time...that might be a combustible mix!)

The tour of one of Saddam’s estates reminds me of a story in the
Wall Street Journal maybe a year ago.
It recounts how a bunch of Saddam’s closest followers were watching
a film (some Hollywood production, but I can’t remember the title) when
a big @$$-whoopin’ American bomb came through the ceiling.
Burying hundreds of Saddam’s best buds when the place collapsed.
And now Coalition personnel work/live adjacent to this “instant
cemetary”.
I am watching this now 7:30 pm Az time . This is one wonderful man.
A SUPER American!! Whattaguy .. quiet warrior,
just getting it done. God bless him, and God
bless and protect our troops.
Saddam's Flintstone Fixation
Baghdad as Bedrock
In the initial days of the U.S. attack on Iraq, one of Saddam Hussein's Baghdad palaces was targeted as a strategic target. However, the palace, built by Saddam for his grandchildren as a "theme palace," was anything but a repository for weapons of mass destruction.
In fact, Saddam, who used to watch Flintstone cartoons with his grand kids, decided to build a palace in Baghdad that was a replica of Bedrock, the fictional town where Fred, Wilma, Barney, Betty, and Dino lived. The palace was a huge playground for Saddam's grandchildren. However, Pentagon planners decided that Bedrock Palace was a threat to the West and it was demolished within the first few hours of the war.

Ditto!
How ‘bout those troops ..... youzza!!
Was that incredible or WHAT? I'm a pretty serious news junkie, and I didn't know a thing about that "Flintstone village" for Saddam's grandchildren.
The Gary Sinise documentary was excellent, but I sure wish it had aired just before the election in November... Saddam was another Hitler, and it wasn't the 'RATs who got rid of him...
God bless the humble Gary Sinise! What an amazing hour that was... just an incredible documentary. Hope Fox News runs it again and again...
Also, don't miss Libloather's post #45 about Saddam's "Flintstone Fixation" (which I never knew anything about).
Saddam's "Flintstone village" was featured in "On the Road in Iraq With Our Troops and Gary Sinise" tonight. Just incredible.
If you missed this fantastic show, it re-airs at midnight ET (9pm PT).
Excellent program and hope those who missed it will get to see it this evening when it is repeated on FOX. God Bless our wonderful troops, and God Bless Lt. Dan! :)
