Eligibility Issue to Follow Obama into Oval Office

A legal challenge that alleges Barack Obama isn't a "natural born" citizen and therefore constitutionally ineligible to be president of the United States will follow the Democrat into the Oval Office, with a U.S. Supreme Court conference on the dispute set after the Jan. 20 inauguration.

The court's website today announced that a fourth case on the issue will be reviewed by justices Jan. 23.

January 23 would allow him to break William Henry Harrison's record as the shortest presidential administration ever if the Supremes and the legal machinery did the job which congress has abdicated. But I won't hold my breath.

So if SCOTUS rules that nObama is not eligible to serve, Biden becomes President, and I suspect Clinton the VP nominee. Then for some reason, illness, age, or possibly even death, Biden steps down or is no longer able to be President and ......

... We get Hillary as President.

if Hussein is proven ineligible, then his election is null & void...we didn't elect Biden to be POTUS. This is unchartered terrority so there "might" have to be another election...

The Constitution is a “living, breathing” document, which is the liberal’s way of saying that it is a dead letter. Why should they start observing the original intent or the plain wording of the Constitution now, after all these years, at this particular time in history? This would be a “distraction” from the glories of the Obama Reich.

Its hard to imagine what would happen were he to be ruled ineligible for office.

Although I don’t believe he is eligible, I doubt anything will come of it.

O could admit he was born in Kenya and nothing will be done about it. Haven’t you heard? The constitution is a living, breathing document that needs to be changed. The founding fathers didn’t know what they were doing when they made it a requirement to be natural born. And today with the world so much “smaller” and diveristy being a good thing, it’s time to get rid of that reguirement to be president.

The other candidate in the election already held was legitimate and would not be disqualified, so he gets the win.

Congress has already certified the election. As such, there is no provision within the Constitution to reverse that decision ... only to remove the results of that provision.

While I agree with your statement, I don’t see a means of installing McCain as President at this point in time.

Because this issue is not going to go away, the Supreme Court has got to address it now or continually throughout Barry Zero’s tenure (hopefully 4 years or less). Petitions to impeach can be submitted if the Supreme Court refuses to do the job that the various States or the DNC failed to do.
